#Missile #diorama #realistic
Last week, I made a missile diorama. The missile has been launched from a submarine which hides beneath the waves.

I learned how to make foil water from ‪@Scaleaton‬. Go check out his channel for some great modeling techniques and inspiration!

  • Fun fact, if you heat your iron up to 400c, this is the magic temp for soldering enameled wire. It melts it right off and never have to scrape or fight with weakened solder joints
  • @Doombastico
If I'm not mistaken, that's a Polaris ICBM, which is the same one launched in The Iron Giant, so this unintentionally became an Iron Giant diorama!

"I broke out my box of missiles" said no one else ever. EPIC!
  • @shawnpgorman
For styrene models that you are going to light up, you can avoid having a glowing model by painting the inside with a good coating of metallic paint.
  • @wallabaatar
So what advice would you give me to find out more about missiles? 🙂 This is such a cool build! Thanks Boylei, and you’re not a dingus.
  • Personally I think you should have made a bit more water disruption, but it looks beautiful already
  • @MJWPub
Pausing at 3:00, I think we need a giant glowing Jelly fish build? 👍

That came out nicely, I like that sea surface method. When you mentioned the blow torch to deal with the fibres I thought for a moment you were going to burn off those stuck to your fingers!

I haven't seen that foil water trick before. I'm going to have to try it. Also, this model kit looks like one I had as a kid, but it was from a different company, Aurora or Revell perhaps, but the missiles are the same. (At least as far as I can remember.)

I was hoping to seee a submarine in the build but this still turned out great! The ripples using the aluminum foil looks fantastic.

I know as an avid Boylei Hobby Time viewer that I'm not the only one who finishes up their own projects or tasks, etc. by saying to themselves "and after that, I called it good". Bro we need a tshirt with that on it! The front could be one of the Wild Imaginary West creatures with the phrase on the back of the shirt. Jussayin'!

Glad to see another fun vid. Keep up the good work and would love to see more military models.

This is a fine diorama, Boylei! I never fail to be impressed and informed by one of your project videos; which are always a high point of my Sunday Mornings. Looking forward to your next project! My Like is in the 1.5Ks

Live. Laugh. Love. And Black 4.0 That is a stellar rocket mate, and thanks for the tips on making water^^
  • @darylfx1
That water effect is amazing, genuinely thought it was a resin pour. Those water decals went on perfect too. Mine always end up wonky 😅

I hope a simple build this week means something crazy next week.
