Helldivers 2 is still blocked in 180 countries, Sony will do the same for Ghost of Tsushima PC port

The whole issue with the PSN account mandate was that it makes Helldivers 2 inaccessible to people outside of the PSN supported countries. Removing the mandate but keeping the game unpurchasable in non-PSN countries does not solve the issue. And now they're going to do the same for Ghost of Tsushima's PC port. In my day, console wars were about which console was better…now it is about finding the one that hates its consumers less.

Piracy is ALWAYS justified if the company shows such blatant hate for their customers. It's the same for older Nintendo games: if the company doesn't profit from those products as they're not available to be bought, then piracy isn't stealing any profit. As always, this only fuels my hate for region locked games. The internet is worldwide, there's no reason for stuff to not be available from everywhere to everywhere. "This digital product is not available in your country" should be illegal.

This should be very eye-opening for everyone as to how valuable our data is. They would rather have our data instead of selling the game in 170 other countries.

AAA gaming is not about making games, it's about making products and selling services. Once you understand that, it becomes much easier to ignore corporate generated hype.

May 2024 will go down in history as one of the dumbest months in gaming history. Everyone caught a case of the stupid. None were spared.

Sony wants your data, so they can sell it. The only reason they rolled back the PSN requirement was to avoid refunds. Now Steam is giving refunds based on area. They will push to add PSN again, so get your refunds while you can. This isn't over.

Its a culmination of game publishers selling out to shareholders and replacing people who play games running the company with people in the finance industry lobbying for shareholders.

I have yet to pirate a single video game but Sony is practically begging me to pirate their games 😂

I thought the console war was the race to the top, now the two are dukes of hazarding into the Grand Canyon

I like how Sony's solution was to ban their own game rather than just make psn available everywhere.

Just hate leaving positive reviews until Sony stops hating money.

This is why I never changed my Steam review.
