Funny story: About a few years ago, my mother was watching us play Minecraft. Me and my brothers happened to be in the Nether fighting blazes. She asked us why we were fighting French Fries. We explained to her that they were called blazes. She then said they looked like "French Fry Monsters". From now on in our house, we call blazes French Fry Monsters.
  • If only there was a potion for fire resistance to help build that blaze farm. Wow almost 800 likes from my sarcasm. Ty :p
  • @olliemusgo
technically, the beacon is the most expensive light source
  • I think blazes should be damaged by bane of arthropods enchantment. Logic behind it, they have 8 legs and like spiders=nether spiders

as someone who converted to java from console edition and so never bothered with the new achievements the copper one sounds awful to try to get

Another thing for those of you with a raid farm. All automatic raid farms on both Java and bedrock are about to break, so I’d recommend getting as many totems as you can right now. Also, the villager trading rebalancing will also drop soon (I’m not sure if it’s going to drop with 1.21 or not), so I’d also recommend getting all the librarians and diamond gear villagers you can.
  • For the unwaxed blocks you need to keep, you could use item frames with them in it to keep them from oxidizing more. Could even put the item frames on the actual blocks with another of the unwaxed blocks in the frames to have both and not feel so pressured to keep unoxidizing them.

If you don't wanna have near-death experiences, just bring yourself some fire res and light up the spawner with torches Also definitely place a half slab on top of the spawner, since the proximity of those 2 blazes limits the amount of new blazes that can get spawned
  • "I've got a lot of questions" And those can be answered by two words: Simulation Distance
  • honestly I made an auto dispenser to destroy all the blaze rods that I have accumulated from my blaze farm because they're really useless >1.20. so I'm really glad they're actually adding a crafting recipe involving them
  • @GamerShyUncut
T..toycaat... Get full weathered copper blocks.. Apply wax... Remove wax... Remove oxidization.. Repeat... That's... a million times easer than what you've done.

If we don't want to explore prior to the update (so we can generate the terrain after and get newer stuff), then we're stuck with the tuff mining grounds we already have. And those will survive the update. So probably no rush to mine tuff pre-update, unless you have a newer world and do want to generate a little more older terrain with more tuff and no trial chambers.

0:37 those pillager captains need capturing before 1.21! You can get ominous bottles in the new update by killing them my server Pigcraft has 3 captured now so 3 ominous bottles in the new update for the trial chamber

When I'm building a blaze farm, I like to "turn off" the spawner first, by sandwiching it between two 9x9 layers of dirt. (With dirt, I won't accidentally break the spawner when I clear it.)

Thanks for the tip about needing Blaze Rods to make Copper Bulbs. I’ve been looking for an excuse to make a Blaze Farm and I admit that I paid zero attention to the crafting recipe for them. I’ve also been collecting Tuff, but I’m doing it by going back to all of the Iron Veins that I have come across since 1.18 but never bothered mining out because I already have tons of Iron. This way I don’t feel like I’m just mining Tuff and I’m killing the proverbial two birds with one stone.
  • Watching someone play the Bedrock version makes me realise how much slower it is to get stuff done in game.
