Well since Top Gear is no more, Sam you are our only hope.❤❤

I have been a part of such a trip. Maybe some suggestions, mostly for the fast driving sections. 1. Have a lead car, which is always doing the exact speed limit (or a bit faster if the driver is confident enough), cars behind will brake to a stop, wait 30s and then try to catch up. Lead car can be one car or rotate every 1h etc. 2. Have a person who is always a map reader/spotter on the trip. The spotter is on the passenger seat of the lead car and will alert about the cars coming, police, pot holes, debris, animals etc over the radio. 3. Take a radio/walkie talkie with an external on antenna which can be mounted on the car using magnets or something along those lines. Then the range will be up to 5km.

Love the back and forth style of this video with your commentary on it all. Great format for road trip videos!

Total gem of a video, thank you very much. Amazing scenery and thank you for incorporating the viewers on your first STG Family run. Well done: planned, announced, performed, congratulations!

Shouldn't that be the logic of convoy driving: -It's better that the lead goes too fast than too slow -People follow according to their comfort levels, those who want to go slow stay at the back of the convoy -The lead slows down every once in a while. This is logical because slowing down for a short while or taking a short pause isn't painfully uncomfortable to those wanting to drive spiritedly like following behind a Mr. Driving Miss Daisy all day would be. You want the lead to drive a bit too fast rather than too slow. -Everyone should know the route before setting off. In modern days this should be incredibly easy with all the possible mapping app features for that, or with the "share my location"-feature. At minimum just plot the course on the nav and send a screenshot to everyone. That's how we convoy'd with a Carrera GT.

This could easily be a 1 hour special, it was that good. Amazing footage and format. Thank you, for visiting Portugal once again. Can't wait to see the next trip.

Funny you fiddled with the Jag’s valves. As soon as I saw what Tony turned up in I thought to myself, if I was there, the first thing I would’ve done was disconnect them on the Spyder.

Sam, I really loved this video. Being a Portuguese car enthusiast, I’ve driven many of the roads featured in the video. I love the roads in the interior of Alentejo and the Serra da Estrela nature park. I do not own a super car, but I can tell you those roads are just as exciting (and maybe more demanding) in my Diesel Volvo XC90. Keep up the great content!

one day I'll buy a Porsche and rip it through the swiss alps, that's been my motivation to be good in school and rather invest time into myself than parties and other stuff the last years. Hopefully I'll reach my goal soon
  • @Spartan_Pope
