As an eye surgeon that does surgery under a microscope, their hand stability is outstanding!

I had the honor of meeting Joe at a GS boutique in Beverly Hills CA last week. He was a pleasure to talk to as I showed him my Dec. 1975 Seiko 6139-6005 that I have worn for the past 48 years (he took a photo of my Seiko). He is very knowledgeable and a true gentleman.

The english speaking Seiko guy is very knowledgeable and well spoken. I could hear him for hours. I know is his job, but you can tell he is really good at it.

Joe is the perfect gentleman for his job. One rarely sees someone as precisely in the right spot. Great video, Teddy. More Seiko, Grand or other, please. Saving up for a GS. Gonna take a while. Family wants food and all sorts...

The craftsmanship, the culture, the history. This is why I love Grand Seiko.

What's impress me the most is how Grand Seiko elevate everything, including their own quartz movement. Have an hi-beat and a quartz. The value is amazing.
  • Well done Teddy! Your watch videos are among the best… balanced with information and intrigue. Amazing brand too! Watch enthusiasts that are “in the know” understand Grand Seiko’s quality, skill and technical contributions to the watch “world” are unique and unmatched in many aspects. More than “just a Seiko”! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

How can you not fall in love with Grand Seiko? Incredible work Teddy!! Thank you, this was amazing.

I had never considered GS prior to going into a store to check them out, when I saw them in the metal I was absolutely blown away, and went on a tear to learn more about the brand and make acquisition(s). Having now 2 of them (dressy Spring Drive, and sporty GMT - with a Sapphire Bezel!) even when not wearing them, I often take them out and just examine the artistry under the light. Amazing watches. No, not perfect, no brand is, and I have/had a few, but hats off to GS for doing what they do so well. Thanks Teddy for highlighting this brand and enlightening us all about it.
  • Certainly the best report I have seen so far on the Grand Seiko brand, with very beautiful shots of the movements. Since I became the proud owner of a Grand Seiko watch, it never leaves my wrist, to the detriment of my other watches! Greetings from France 🇫🇷😍

Excited this video was finally made by someone. Glad it was made by Teddy... secrets are finally coming to light.
  • Teddy, 10 years ago, did you ever see yourself owning your own watch store, or getting to tour these awesome locations? You've poured your heart into this hobby. Good for you man.

Teddy just dropped an absolute classic of a video, what a guy. Thank you for this material, it was very insightful

Because of Teddy I bought my first luxury watch three years ago. For all the reasons in the video and comments here, I decided on the SBGP015 a quartz 9F85. I have worn it daily, it literally has become a part of my life. Great to see Joe and Teddy show the respect of this truly remarkable movement. Incredibly, it has not lost one second in those three years aside from the battery switch which was covered by GS. For my upcoming retirement I am going to reward myself with a Spring Drive. But my SBGP015 will always be there. Thanke Teddy and Grand Seiko.

I was able to visit the Shizukuishi studio for the mechanical side, but the Shinshu studio was not open to the general public. Glad you were able to make this video so I can finally complete my Grand Seiko inside look!
  • @efreutel
The one consistent thread throughout this video: The Japanese love for perfection in everything they do.
  • @DrewMonge
I've recently began my obsession as a watch collector. And i must say— out of all the luxury brands I've been researching, for me the Grand Seikos are the most intriguing. Something about that spring drive thats captivating.
  • @kart182
It is crazy how handmade these are
  • @uttam-tambar
What an amazing video! It was great to hear the two people at the end talk about their passion for their work. I can’t wait for the Grand Seiko event at Teddy’s store in Cleveland!
