My guess is that the leviathan tried to stop Iron Haven. But the MC went and dredge up the drill head and ended up cooperating with them to research the eldritch power. Can't wait to see how will this added to the narrative.

Very interesting, particularly the promised features. A new tier of equipment, hopefully finally something to use all those stored research parts on. Eager to see what horrifying implications the story here has, given the things Pale Reach brought up, and it's nice to see what that burning boat from the original trailer was meant to be.
