I love that the world of the dead features old computers, lights, and other machinery, using dead technology, such a clever and nostalgic detail
  • @s0nai
“That’s right, Pixar’s got you literally Finding Nemo!” *shows a picture of Nemo’s dad*
  • @Aladite
Dante pausing while eating the food off the ofrenda when scolded and then immediately continue eating faster is exactly what dogs do and I love that they put that detail in

Did you know? Nemo isn't the name of that particular fish breed. Nemo is the name of the a specific young fish his father is named Marlin. So did you spot the difference in that clip? It's right there, they used Marlin instead of Nemo. Now that's some clown fishing!

bro this movie is such a love letter to the mexican culture. they had everything on point. all the moms remind me of my grandma 💀 and the music is also very nice
  • @aka_austin
Fun fact: Giaccchino apperantly didn't know that he was referenced in the movie until the premiere. So when his skelo counterpart popped up, he was pleasently suprised
  • @whyamihere6522
Not to mention they had famous actors and people that died that came straight from Mexico like pedro infante, cantinflas,Frida, etc
  • you brag about Nemo being an easter egg but show a picture of Marlin

0:40 that's the Pizza Planet pickup truck from Toy Story, it's amazing how this vehicle has appeared in every animated Disney movie (but it never appeared in The Incredibles)
  • The piñatas aren't a Easter egg is just a common piñata store in México, it's just missing Goku, SpongeBob, and other carton characters.

Another interesting detail: In the building, the workers are using old-fashioned computers from Pixar's late-80s to early 2000s.
  • @ezaxx
The fact that I've watch COCO five times yet found none of these :')

Even though I haven't seen the movie in a while, I think this may be an easter egg to Beauty and the Beast. In the beginning of the movie, there's smoke coming from something I can't remember, but there looked like there was the form of a rose in the smoke. Yet again I think it is, so tell me if I'm wrong.

8:16 In the end credit ofrenda, there is also a photo of Walt Disney right in the middle.
  • @Shadoboy
Not only is Cantinflas in the party, but he's wearing his pants almost halfway down, like he often did in his movies.

apparently, the face model for Mama Coco is a real person in that town. She wasn't paid by disney/ pixar and still hasn't. Her name is actually Coco too, so a bit realistic there

Did you know that in the returns department there is a skeleton that wears green and is holding a rat. This inspired the clothing of Bruno from encanto
  • @kuso121
