The kids can’t run away— they have no friends, no acquaintances, no other family aside from themselves. That’s how some of these people get away with it.
-
Family channels are the biggest self-report narcissistic parents can make.
-
Kids lives shouldn’t be made public.

Asmon is 1000% right, I'm a guy, and my parents forced me to be a competitive ballroom dancer my entire childhood, up to the age of 15, and I hated them for it, but I also ended up hating myself. Because ballroom dancing is a team sport, your dance partner is your team, and all the girls that were my partners did this because they wanted to, they wanted to be good, and I always held them back because I hated the sport, and the trainers could see it too, and they would be very rude to me in particular, compared to the other kids. They knew I had no interest, but i guess they didn't understand why I kept showing up for 10 years, they didn't get it. And this is not even all, my whole childhood was like this, entirely controlled by my parents, and always in ways that isolated me from my peers. needless to say, I am a pretty emotionally messed up adult now, and i don't speak to my parents.

''Kids?'' ''Nah man, personal slaves''

The van life is not for kids, don't have kids if you want a van life
-
Kid : I didn't chose the van life, the van life chose me

Asmon was mostly right about the parents with weird lifestyles pushing it onto their kids, except I remember very clearly one video I saw about a couple that lived like it was the 60's, had their whole house decorated like that, dressed like it, car like it, except the one room in the house that wasn't in the theme was their son's room because they let him decorate it how he wanted and that's the right way to do it imo

Best comment of the year "whopping cough would take out that whole van"
-
“All children deserve good parents, but not all parents deserve kids”
-
“Why would you have a pet rat?” Meanwhile, Asmons life condition:
-
the parents are terrible. they give them no room, couldnt imagine sleeping in a shelf.
-
“people who create their own drama deserve their own karma”😂
-
Ah yes homelessness is now a TikTok career

when i was young my parents and i went gamping witha camper van every single summer, what those people don't get is that the van isn't "to live in" but rather "to sleep in" we spent all the time at the beach, going around cities watching monuments, visiting cities the van had a huge tend attatched that more than doubled the size available, where we put folding chairs and a table to have meals, read, play, for me to do homework etc... the van is meant to: sleep, go to the bathroom, have the frige and a stove to cook (since we mostly used it in the summer we didn't even shower inside) the idea of using one to live inside all year round and to actually live inside all day long is crazy to me, for reference, if a prison gave you that much space to live in it would be considered a crime against human rights

this is child neglect.
-
I like how the parents always have a huge bed and the kids have a pencil sized cot
-
Van life seems like a dream until you realize that ‘home’ is essentially a glorified shoebox with wheels.

RV stands for recreational vehicle. None of these are meant to be lived in. A single person or a couple maybe.. But a family with multiple pets... smh
-
This is absolutely insane. In Sweden it's illegal to live full time in rv's if you have children. and for good reason.
