Here at LTT, we’re often making videos about crazy small form factor, oversized, no compromise, or otherwise unusual and extreme PC builds. But… what about our employees? Are they all rocking RTX 3090s in their sweet battlestations, or are all of their systems at home just shells of glory, not to be used by even the most infrequent of gamers?

Every LTT employee who didn’t get the $5000 Intel upgrades
  • @nahasco
Jake: "people think that everyone at lmg has the most cutting edge tech in our homes" Also Jake: RTX 3080
  • @charlesward9963
"dont... dont worry it always does that" is such a perfect description for homemade pcs, all of them have weird af things that just happen
  • '' people think that everyone at lmg has cutting edge tech in our homes" Also lmg: owns 30 percent of rtx 30 series ever produced
  • @GatoPaint
5:50 I lost it when they started to tell the background story of the Xbox xDDD
  • "You may think LMG employees have the best hardware, but that's not really the case, we only have 3070s, 3080s, Dual 1080TIs, and threadrippers." Lol, jokes aside, love the video, always great to see all the employees. I also really appreciate Matt's story, and the lack of funds for PCs, although by the time you've bought an Xbox one X and a Nintendo switch, may wanna start looking at a budget build imo.
  • Remember when we could ACTUALLY buy a GPU? Like literally the good old days....pull up a Wednesday NCIX sale or a Newegg shell shocker an be able to get a brand new GPU in any class/tier we wanted. Sigh.....
  • “You may think LTT has the latest and greatest PC’s but our PC’s are actually 6 months old”
  • @Die-Coughman
Watching Tarren explain his mess whilst avoiding eye contact with the camera and camera crew was the highlight of this video.
  • @templetoon1983
I love that Taran doesn’t go for the latest and greatest when it comes to hardware and is still rocking the 4790k and a GTX 980ti....
  • @Derethevil
So in summary: "You would think we here at LLT are all having cutting edge tech in our PC's..... and you are 99% correct."
  • @K_Tart
LMG is probably the only place that has a “Bring your PC to work day”
  • @razeenrajaful
Jake: People think that everyone at ltt has the most cutting edge tech in our home Also Jake: *Has 5900x, 3080, X570 motherboard, and 1tb pcie gen 4 ssd + 2 • 4tb hdd's*
  • @Matty__Matt
The shot at 14:19 made me finally realize that his system wasn't dirty it was part of the artwork lol
  • I truly appreciate how humble and transparent these gentlemen are about their own personal systems. I would be nice to see some ladies who are involved in Linus Tech, are there any tech ladies?
  • Jake's computer is like a hermit crab that moved into a huge new shell.
  • @jamesjason8471
PLEASE!! Please get Matthias to make a low, mid, high, and extreme 3D modeling, texturing, and rendering system! There are too many "gaming" pc builds out there on every goddamn channel but there are not enough workstation builds for 3D VFX work. Make something that will actually help a lot of artists to build a proper system to do 3D work.
  • @TheDoosh79
I like how Taran's is the oldest stuff but has only just got it working reliably, just in time for an upgrade!
  • I live in Japan, and space is a premium here for many of us (as a well as PC parts because anything Intel, Nvidia, AMD, etc. needs to be imported in). Matt’s setup is the most ideal in my opinion. Smartphone for work, comms, and productivity. Switch for gaming on the go. Home console for more serious games at home. As long as you don’t heavily rely on high performance computing in your job, I think this setup is a good as it gets (as honestly if your job does require it they should be providing the equipment for you). And depending on the games you like, sometimes a single console can have you covered.
