Welcome! After moving to Scotland two months ago from the U.S. and finally setting up house just south of Edinburgh, we decided that a holiday was in order. A family favorite is Dunkeld, so that’s where we set our sights. We had an incredible time exploring this beautiful village and the surrounding areas including Blairgowrie and Pitlochry. From the River Tay to the Beatrix Potter Gardens and Museum to the Hermitage, we did our best to leave no stone unturned. Unfortunately, even after 6 full days in Perthshire, we still couldn’t visit all of the locations we had on our radar, but we’ll just have to make another trip sooner rather than later. The Abernethy Round Tower is one we don’t want to miss! We hope this video showcases some of the breathtaking views and natural beauty in the area. Also - Not to be missed is our redo of the MARMITE TASTE TEST. Enjoy! And, if you’re interested in a further tour of the Forebrae Cottage, where we stayed, check out the following links:

  • We moved to Scotland after spending our honeymoon here and we never regretted it. Best decision ever. Such a beautiful country!
  • Annie, I can’t wait till you start getting an accent because it will happen. And your kids definitely will.❤
  • My wife asks me all the time if I don’t miss home and want to make a holiday there. Having just watched this vlog, has brought up those feelings of a need to return. It all looks so beautiful around that area and that, even with the rain. I think a trip next year might be on the cards. Well who would have known it! We have managed to convert Annie into a marmite lover😂. You just needed the right tools for the job. Zack, I love renovations or anything new with house builds etc. so expect some nice detailed coverage of that fitness room/man cave. 😊
  • The landscapes are beautiful but even more beautiful is seeing a happy contented family! 🙂 🐑
  • I enjoyed the "oh no!" while meeting an oncoming vehicle while driving. The (obviously local) landy dives onto the verge without fuss. I found the best wet weather option is a water activities day, then the rain dosen't matter and returning to a cosy cottage is even more enjoyable. Pretty sure Dunkeld has local Kayak and SUP lessons and hire
  • Scotland’s on my bucket list to the shop is all me telling you. And I grew up with Beatrix potter bedroom when I was little I just love it, still have all the books.

The vibe i get from this video, and i think its great, it take me back to my girls were children, doing the same in the northeast, before tech and phones took over, going down by the rivers, kids playing, picnic and a drink, we also had a dog which helped, with the fun, throwing something simple like a ball, our baby girl laughing watching, the silly antics of a dog and a ball,
  • @lollygee172
That cottage is something out of a film set! So darling!
  • Annie, I have watched many videos of Americans taking the Marmite test and you are the first who I have ever seen say they like it! So proud of you!
