Being an older gamer, these are all classic examples of why I've become so jaded with the gaming industry. I tend to avoid online gaming due to toxic communities and player bases so junk like "skins" and assorted cosmetic items are irrelevant to me. I refuse to get sucked in by in-game transactions and totally avoid anything that requires an ongoing paid subscription. Finally, I also totally avoid pre-releases due to the excessive pricing and sorry state many so-called AAA titles get released in. The gaming industry as a whole whether it be developers or publishers need a swift kick in the backside as this consumer has had a gutsful.

6:10 "But, it's Star Wars, so they know people are just gonna to pay up". Unskippable Lego Fortnite Star Wars commercial immediately pops up 💀

For anyone that might want to know, Escape from Tarkov has had an illicit community of modders for years, and one such team is called Single Player Tarkov. It gives you the most prominent feature of the EFT Unheard of edition, namely a Single Player PVE version of Tarkov. It does not have Co-op PVE, and it has stated it doesn't have plans to add that. Still, if you play Tarkov and 1) want to play pve and 2) don't want to play pve with your loot goblin comrades, then check out Single Player Tarkov. Edit: oh yeah the best part, there are no cheaters in Single Player Tarkov.

I still say high-end NFT buys/sells are just a front for money laundering.

Escape from Tokov unheard of community edition
  • You could make this list a top 100. The industry has gone absurdly greedy.
  • Someone needs to explain to me how $700 is a "micro transaction."

wheres the crew? revoking everyones access to a game that could be played offline is one, if not the worst violation of consumer rights.

If you spent 900k on a land in a gotcha game you deserve to no longer have 900k.

The razor mask is absolutely insane. I can’t believe someone even had that idea much less made it an actual thing.

It's always morally ok to pirate Nintendo software.
  • 'Early Access' is a myth (aside from the Steam 'paid Beta' version). If people are able to play the game, then it's launched, it's live. Those who chose not to pay the extra money are instead forced to wait an extra 3 days after the game launches before they can play it.

What a pleasure to see BSG and it's latest Tarkov move roasted here. Thank you for that.

Is anyone else surprised at this point that a lot of the bad moves here were made by either EA, Konami or Ubisoft?
  • Dude I opened a ticket in Skull and Bones asking for a way to reset my progress which I did during the beta to test the game. I clearly mentioned that I don't remember any of the game systems and I need to reset my progress. And their official reply /solution was " make a new account and buy the game again."

Only mentioned off hand in the video but I’m not at all opposed to $70 or even $80 games if they’re releasing a FINISHED AND QUALITY product. N64 games were $60 in 1996. It’s honestly impressive pricing has been so stable since then considering dev time is like 5 times longer. Would like to see how the price of gas or milk compares to almost 30 years ago. It’d be cool if the extra money went to devs getting railed by crunch and polishing the product but I know it wouldn’t.
