Today I tried the newest art supply in the art world...Karin paint pens! These are the decobrush sets and I bought the ENTIRE collection of them to test out and try. The paint pens are amazing and in my opinion even better than posca paint pens! I love markers that are filled with paint but Poscas are Japanese art supplies that are without a doubt the best. HOWEVER...Karin could easily replace these...

Ok so I’m learning Posca DOES have brush pens BUT they are more like a physical brush with separate bristles, whereas this one is a brush nib in regards to a copic style which I prefer! But I’m glad to know that Posca does have a brush style!
  • @jorrdan.
someone needs to tell moriah about that pastel set because that’s exactly what she’s been wanting from posca!
  • @panxx888
I really like the packaging of the boxes, it gives you a place to already store them. The pens are even placed in an angle so the tips don't overflow or seem dry like if you would to keep them stored vertically
  • @ADCArtAttack
Custom channels sweating right now!!! Can't attack the Poscas 🤭
  • @brynwassing150
I can already here Mariah coming for the pastel ones to make sure they are true pastels

I love that you resisted making a "50 shades of grey" joke. I wouldn't be able to. Posca does have brush markers just not in many colors. And the brush isn't exactly fantastic (IMHO). These look interesting. Just wish bringing Karin into the US was easier, can be annoying finding stores that carry them sometimes.

“Every shade you could ever imagine” MAGENTA. my biggest gripe about art sets of nearly any medium is that warm purples are almost always completely left out. 😐

I value opacity above almost anything else. I use molotow one4all, and i think they’re more opaque than these. They need a wider colour range though. Molotow truly draw on anything. Edit: Also Archer & Olive Acrylograph. They’re expensive, but they’re opaque and permanent, including on fabric. Really wide colour range too.
  • How can you tell a true artist? He or she always smells their new art supplies! I love it.nand for the record, you're not the only one who switches nibs on art supplies. Thank you for another great video!
  • @aneesa753
Posca does have brush tip marks but would definitely want to try them out 🙂

When Chloe started talking about the mint colours I was crying. I’m so obsessed with that colour as well. My plates, bowls, towels, oven, kettle, coffee machine, kitchen aid, scale, everything is that colour 😂 basically all my kitchen stuff
  • Your hair looks very pretty!I am in love with your wallpaper! Just gorgeous!
  • Goddamnit, I have a big bin of Poscas, and I also feel like the ONLY thing I don't like are the nibs. (I have a few with the brush tips, and I actually dislike them even more than the bullets.) A copic-style nib would make them perfect. I did NOT need to know these exist. Great page, btw, love the final result.

I think I will stick with Poscas, but it's nice to have options! Cute colors.
  • Chloe you look fantastic today hun! I love your hair when you style it that way, it totally suits you! It's great seeing you getting all excited over new art tools. You're like a kid in a sweet shop, bless your heart. It made me smile. I really liked that illustration you did with the new pens. I love the look of them. It's the pastels that draw me to them mainly, they look very tempting, and the artist/hoarder in me wants them so badly. I think that Posca will have to keep a look out coz it looks like Karin could give them some serious competition. I would rather spend the £209 that the entire set is here in the UK than spend any money at all on Posca pens. Posca pens are a rip off. Yes they are good pens, but by crikey does the company make you pay they the nose for them! Anyway, thanks for another fun video, I really love your channel.

Thank you, Chloe. I'm so glad people are kindly realising some of us are gentle, creative artists and would only ever ask for the manager to compliment a great store worker. It was funny for a while but is getting a bit tedious now 😬😂✌
  • @sophielegay4104
Cute drawing! The thing I love about posca is its opaqueness (some colours are better than others) so I feel like posca is better for me. That's a good news because I already have so much of them^^
  • I think these look like great fun and you could definitely get a far better range of mark making shapes and easier gradients and blends, I would imagine. Love your final illustration pattern, would look great on a pencil case! Stay safe and well💕
  • @daisydanyart
Ahh this is so satisfying to watch 😌 thanks for always inspiring to keep doing art and making painting videos! 💕
  • I was literally just saying how bad I feel for everyone named Karen! So excited for these markers too!
