This set has really showed that financial value isn't everything. Despite the low prices for singles, there are so many amazing cards in this set. Even the lower value Ixhel commander precon is sold out at every LGS I've visited while they still have plenty of Boros decks.

So.... Elesh Norn or bust? Sounds about right. I cracked a Collector Box for fun and opened into about $100 of value because I missed Norn, Atraxa, and the Concept Praetors. Same thing happened on the Collector Box of Dominaria Remastered, which has pretty thoroughly soured me to buying boxes for a while.

I feel like the reason a lot of the prices aren't high is because of how much this set's been bought, with the rarer cards being super rare, and the common cards being super common, causing that price variance of even mythics going for like 0.43

I drafted a box of this with my play group and it was one of the most fun draft experiences of recent memory (for standard) since war of the spark. We are likely going to do another draft of this before too long since it was so fun!

The music at pack 14 of box 2 is fantastic. Also, the third music choice, with the oceans elevenesque type feel.

I'm usually kind of meh on the alternate art for cards but I really love the high contrast versions they put in this set. They really pop.
