This video will show you how to remove the sticky residue from your cars buttons. This is the easiest, fastest, and safest way and can be done for less than $8 at your local Walgreens.

Keep in mind that some buttons will require elbow grease but be careful as doing it too hard might erode the lettering. You need to apply the right amount of pressure.

I just tried this on my 10 YO XJL - fantastic!!! Thank you for posting and TU to the lady who discovered this method.

You were 100 percent correct! The wipes definitely work. Worked extremely well for my Maserati. Took a while to go through the interior, but definitely worth the effort. Thanks for the great video!!
  • I haven't looked thru the comments to see if anyone suggested this, but if you want to save a few dollars, Walmart has the same wipes in a travel size for $1. It's somewhere near the aisle with combs/brushes/hair ties. I actually use these for makeup removers, but also to remove sticky residue from my skin whenever I work in my garage. You can use them like goo-gone and it won't dry your skin out. Appreciate the video! I have a sticky car button and already have these wipes, so I'm set!
  • Yes! This totally worked on my Ferrari 360 and I was able to fix the classic sticky buttons for less than $7. It does take a bit of work to loosen up the gunk, but it's well worth the effort.

Wow - what a hero! I’ve just spent nearly 2 hours on steering wheel buttons and a lot of elbow grease using so called grease remover wipes and a towel - it was 70% successful but then my OCD kicked in for a 100% remedy! I’ve just ordered. Got lots of buttons to do on a second hand vehicle. Thx

Thanks for posting this tip. I’ve spent thousands to have these parts refurbished on other cars. I just used these wipes and saved alot of time and money!

Yep, totally worked on my Lamborghini Gallardo sticky buttons. I couldn’t find the particular Neutrogena wipes you used but found another Neutrogena wipe (green packaging) and it worked perfectly. No more sticky buttons.

We do not have Neutrogena wips here in Norway. So tried some cheap baby wips and it worked. Not good but with a little albugrease and patience the result was good. No fading on labels. Thank you.
  • This worked like a charm. My buttons went from being a sticky mess to brand spankin new. Mercedes Comand 2.0 system for those wondering.

I'm so glad I found your channel and this video! The sticky buttons drive me CRAZY!

I am glad I did a YouTube search as for the last 3 years my 2011 Jaguar XJL has developed this sticky coating. I also appreciated the persons comment below on what caused it (I was curious but figured it was a Jaguar fault). But Holy Moly the wipes worked and my interior looks 100 percent better! Thanks for making the video!

I used it on my 2014 Jaguar XK after a year of even getting the the factory to replace some buttons under warranty. It happened again on another place and I was very distraught. I went on the computer and was sent to this place. WORKS BETTER AND EASIER THAN EXPECTED AND THE RESULTS WERE PERFECT. THANK YOU SOOO MUCH YOUTUBE.

This video is a God send to all car owners with sticky button issues. Maserati GT has these issues too fortunately I don't have sticky button issues and my Maserati is a 2008. The interior is clean. I will show this video to a group of Maserati GT owners with sticky button issues.
  • God Bless you sir!!! I have a 2012 Jaguar XJL Supercharged with the same problem!!! This is the first video to pop up on my search! Great Job!! Thanks!
