I’m a work-at-home mom — the days are full and the days are looooong. As much as I love to cook, inevetibly, there will be one night out of the week where I just don’t have a lot to give in the effort department. When I know it’s going to be a long day, it’s #crockpot #chickenlegs for the win.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
2 - 2 1/2 pounds chicken legs
2 1/2 teaspoons Kosher salt
1 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
2 tablespoons oil (avocado, canola, or olive oil)

HOW TO MAKE THEM:
1. Pat each drumstick dry with a paper towel and transfer to a 4-6 quart crock pot.
2. Combine all of the dry seasoning in a small bowl and stir to combine. Drizzle the chicken with oil and rub to adhere to each leg. Then, sprinkle the seasoning evenly over the chicken and rub all over to adhere.
3. Cover and turn on the low setting. Cook for 3 1/2 to 4 hours. Serve and enjoy!

  • I decided to get my crockpot out of mothballs and try this recipe. I have not had much luck in the past with crockpot chicken recipes. I was glad I took the chance with this recipe. For those worried about not adding any liquid, don't. When done, there was a small amount of a delicious sauce that came from the juices of the chicken and the rub, which I poured over the chicken legs before serving. Like some, I was worried that 4 hours on low would not give it enough time to cook through, so I started out on high for 2 hours and then turned it down to low for the last 2. They came out perfect. We are not fans of chicken skin, so I removed it before serving. Even my husband, who pretty much hates chicken, said he liked it and would eat it again. I will definitely make this chicken again.

Great. Just got a crockpot and still learning how to use it to cook different stuff. And the smile makes it even easy to follow along.

Oh my goodness!! I can't believe how easy this was. I didn't add any water like her and slow cook it for 8 hours in the crock pot since I was going to be at work. I used the avocado oil and used my own seasoning, and it was so good. My family enjoyed it 😊😍👍

This dish was a hit with my family! This will be in my weekly meal rotation. Super simple, quick, set it and forget it meal. Big win since it’s also Keto / Low Carb. Thank you so much for sharing this recipe!

You are so easy to follow. Thanks for not leaving out any steps for us that are not so great at cooking!

Super easy and absolutely delicious. I used avocado oil and followed the directions to a T. I cooked in the slow cooker for 4 hours on low setting. Be safe and make sure to use a thermometer to make sure that the internal temperature of the chicken is at least 165℉. Enjoy!!!!!

That looks delicious and so easy for big family dinner! I will definitely give it a try.🍗
  • I brined mine over night and went light on the seasoning, thanks for the video!

Thanks for the simple, short recipe. I forgot we even had a crock pot until the cold started setting in, and everyone's craving stew and roasts. The family always loves my chicken in the air fryer, but it can only fit 4 legs at a time. So this will be much easier, to cook a whole pack of legs. Gonna try this tonight with homemade spicy chili sauce, honey, and garlic! Let's see how it turns out!

I just made this but I used a quesadilla seasoning. Everyone raved how good it was. Thank you for this video
