There is trouble in the Red Sea. Houthi attacks on ships have seen a diversion of maritime traffic away from the Suez Canal. This has led to rising shipping costs, and broken supply chains could push an already fragile global economy into recession.

Meanwhile, the Houthis have vowed to expand their attacks, even as the war in Gaza becomes a rallying cause for other non-state militant groups. International efforts to broker a ceasefire in Gaza have stalled, while joint naval efforts to stop the Red Sea attacks have seen limited success. With signs that the Red Sea crisis could deepen, what will this mean for India, Vietnam, and the rest of Asia?

Aren’t Singapore suppose to be standing in the middle ground? Why are the news always leaning more and more to the other side?
  • Economic investigator Frank G Melbourne Australia is following this informative content cheers Frank 😊

In conclusion - the root of the middle East problem is the Iranian regime. The Abraham accord was to expand to include Saudi Arabia but so long as the Ayatollahs have Iran there will be no peace.

6:46 Well, this just betrays a fundamental lack of understanding how modern shipping works. Vessels may be associated with multiple flags, from registration to operation. 🚢🎌
  • @pagelu-mt7rh
The ship, called a Chinese tanker, was actually British and registered to the Hong Kong Leather company a month before it was hit. By the way, this British ship has been carrying oil from Russia to Europe. The US media has been hyping it since then, but the Chinese are not stupid
  • @Ersanba

This is mainly west(20%) problem cause by themselves , not the rest(80%) of the world.

CNA again helping the west pushing west problem is the world problem.
Just like Youkrain is EU regional drama , not the rest.

On March 21, China and Russia reached an agreement with the Houthi armed forces in Yemen on the Red Sea shipping issue.
Yemen's Houthis have told China and Russia that their ships can cross the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden without being attacked.
  • Singapore and its Indian crews took out Baltimore bridge without firing a shot.
  • @Honey0Penguin
Every move is risky, one mistake it's a conflict, no matter what, it always sounds bad.
  • @rainmaker8677
If the prices have to rise. Redirect the ships. Then what would they attack????
  • @jackytang3683
Fortunately, we have sino-europ railway for high value goods transportation
  • @SonyThamrin
Global geopolitical conflicts are very complex and interrelated. Each country took an advantageous position from the conflict.

India buying cheap oil and fertilizer from Russia at Chabahar Port in Iran. Even though India supports Ukraine and Israel.

Also, Indonesia in the economic sector is close to China through the Whoosh high-speed rail project, Nickel mining, Lithium battery factories, electric vehicles, and other investments.

Meanwhile in the military sector, Indonesia is close to US and allies through the purchase of Rafale (France) and F-15EX (US) jets, Scorpene submarines (France), Italian warships. Indonesia regularly participates in military exercises with US, Japan, Australia, and Philippines. Even though Indonesia supports Palestine.
  • Export coffee in Indonesian Vietnam, our coffee th price in the local market is high, maybe if we buy Vietnam coffee, the price Will down in the local market
