  • Hey man, you often talk about the basics and keeping it simple. But what exactly are the basics of graffiti, and how can I practice them?

Yo, Grim! I am a big fan! You always help me when I am stuck on graffiti. I have been doing throwies and tags for years and I thought about doing a piece or a straight letter, and I watched a few of your videos to learn how to do it and it really helped! I tried to do it a little bit ago without a tutorial and it was so bad. But, I got it all down now and I want to thank you! ♥️

Distracted by style...wow, a great way to say it. I think this is your best video yet.
  • yeah i know what you mean i've done graffiti since far back in the 80's and to be quite honest I'm amazed at your knowledge in it and you been at graffiti half of what ive been in it and you are far better and knowlegable than me.. this is why I watch your videos i've learned so much more in ashort time watching your videos than in my lifetime..

Damn man, love your content. As soon as I get stuck with progressing you come in with more advice and knowledge which helps me improve.
  • Having such a low entry for graffiti though i think is whats appealing about it. You dont need to know 1pt perspective or color theory. You just need to understand how to spell your name. Should they practice the basics when they start, ofcourse but i always enjoy seeing shitty graffiti in an alleyway. Makes me smile and remeber being a shitty teenager tagging shit and having it look shitty but being proud of it regardless.

Tags before throwies, before pieces. Master the first one, you may discuss the others now. Am I the only person who was taught graffiti this way? I was sent to the library to look at books on typography, and printing layouts. Good graffiti, like good printing, is invisible. You should only ever see what the designer intended, anything else that draws your attention was/is a mistake. I get the feeling that one way or another, you’ll drag graffiti over to the art world, and make them play nice together. Good! Want a hand?
  • this channel helps me alot from not knowing where to start to making my first throw up all from practicing the basics
  • @STICKYArt
Keeping it simple is the hardest thing to do for artists across the board! Always go back to the basics when you are not seeing improvement!
  • @Jacob-on5zh
this probably the best channel to learn off of
  • Grim you should make a vid w a summarized list of what to do in order when learning the fundementals i wanna make sure im learning properly
  • @PAEz...
hahaha, I did some practice today and it was pretty bad ;p (I put it up still if you want a laugh). First real try in over 20+ years and ive lost ALL my skills. I dont even have much hand control any more...oh well, keep practising and hopefully it'll come back.
