Staying overnight in our new tiny off grid cabin is my new favorite thing! The quiet, the candles, the coyotes, the birds, cooking a steak on the woodstove.... I don't even know what to say!

So blessed......

I hang out with Da Woof, cook food, and answer your questions about the cabin build. Would love you to join me!

  • I'm a truck driver and just went back on the road. At home my beautiful better half and I live off grid in the woods on our property. I just wanted to say, in a time when our country is in turmoil and the internet is filled with horrible reminders of that, your video was a refreshing reminder of what we should be doing. Counting our blessings! Thank you!!!

I grew up living off the grid I guess most people called it being poor but I am a much better person because of those days, thank you ,your cabin looks great.

All you need in life is a cabin, a wood stove, a dog, food, and be surrounded by the beauty God has given us. You exude pure joy and happiness. Sending much love & light from the Green Mountain State (Vermont).
  • Thanks for PRAYING out loud! I love how you are right up front about your beliefs. You dont preach but share HIS LOVE by example!

Just found yours and your husbands channels today and it couldnโ€™t have come at a better time! Like most folks, Iโ€™m sick over the state of our country and I was so glad to find something to watch in my downtime that doesnโ€™t have a thing to do with politics! Blessings to your family!
  • Ppl are so spoiled in this day, I had an outhouse, carried tons of water to wash clothes and take baths in a basin, no need to be dirty! Some of the best days of my life! Lots of experience in case we need to live like this again without all of the stress and anxiety!!
  • @bryanelders
That Prayer! That changed everything! Thank you! Make that times 2!
  • Brooke, What a great way to "get away". Thank-You for acknowledging that all good things come from the Lord above. Thank-You for sharing. Bless you and yours !

  • Brooke, you're a breath of fresh air! I love the way you finished the interior, and I watched you do it! On the bathing thing, when I'm camping in my 6x12 cargo trailer, I bought a kiddie swimming pool on Amazon. It's designed to fold up into a box about 8" square, maybe a little smaller. It's 32" around when set up, and about 4" tall. Literally, with 2 cups of water and a couple of hand towels you can take a complete bath and get clean. I just sit cross legged in the pool and bathe. In cold weather you will want to heat the interior of where you are first but that kind of goes without saying for bathing. REI sells waterless shampoo so you can totally do that and get your hair clean. I guess I'm an old hippie! I'm going to be 65 in July and have hair down to my shoulders. My wife likes it that way, and so do I! Been married 38 years now.
