Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is a 2023 first-person shooter video game developed by Sledgehammer Games and published by Activision. It is a sequel to 2022's Modern Warfare II, serving as the third entry in the rebooted Modern Warfare sub-series and the twentieth installment in the overall Call of Duty series. The game was released on November 10, 2023, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Modern Warfare III retains the realistic, modern setting of its predecessors and continues the sub-series storyline. The story follows multi-national special operations unit Task Force 141 tracking down Vladimir Makarov, a Russian ultranationalist and terrorist planning to trigger a third World War. The game's multiplayer includes sixteen remastered maps from 2009's Modern Warfare 2, with at least twelve new maps planned for inclusion post-launch. A Zombies mode, co-created by Black Ops sub-series developer Treyarch and built around an open world player versus environment experience, is also included.

Call of Duty: Warzone was a 2020 free-to-play battle royale first-person shooter game developed by Raven Software and Infinity Ward and published by Activision. It was released on March 10, 2020, for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One as part of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) and was subsequently connected to Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War (2020) and Call of Duty: Vanguard (2021), but did not require purchase of any of the aforementioned titles. Warzone allowed online multiplayer combat among 150 players and featured both cross-platform play and cross-platform progression between the three aforementioned titles.

At launch, the game featured two main game modes: Battle Royale and Plunder. Warzone introduced a new in-game currency system that could be used at "Buy Stations" in and around the map. "Loadout Drops" were a key in-game object allowing players to access and switch between their customized classes and were obtainable through purchase with the Cash currency. At launch, Warzone only offered Trios, a squad capacity of three players; Solos, Duos and Quads were added to the game via post-launch updates.

Upon release, Warzone received generally favorable reviews from critics. Warzone was downloaded by six million people within 24 hours of its initial release; by April 2021, the game surpassed 100 million downloads. A sequel, titled Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, was released on November 16, 2022. A mobile version of Warzone, titled Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile, was announced in March 2022, and was released on March 21, 2024. In June 2023, Activision announced that servers for Warzone would be shut down on September 21, 2023 to focus development on Warzone 2

Shoutout to MWIII for showing us that you need to scratch your balls to reload.

I noticed while playing mw19 that you can actually identify wich gun is being shot in a match unlike recent cods
  • When it comes to guns, MW 2019 still feels the best out of every game ever made. The sound, the animations, the virtual recoil, it packed a punch.
  • @fazenibbs
MW2019 was so superior in every way Really makes you sad for what Activision has become
  • 01:15 god the AN-94 from MW 2019 looked so much better than the abomination known as the SVA 545 from MWIII, idk why they didn't just reuse that model and call it a day
  • @ca_lcium
I can't believe MW2019 is going to be five years old this year... Time sure flies by fast.
  • @spartan8ter
MW2019 really peaked in the COD series. RIP COD Edit: You mfs going on about in the replies arguing about which COD campaign/multiplayer peaked. ffs I'm talking about visual quality here. Nothing wrong with saying one COD's campaign peaked over the other, debate it somewhere else, but goddamn, stick to topic.

It’s crazy how the only animation that got slightly better in mw3 was the joker one
  • @hoshinoyu
I should already expect that but I'm still pretty impressed by the aim down sight reload animation in MW2019
  • @jaxoningram3794
Why does modern warfare 2019 look so much better than modern warfare 3?
  • @JingMitsuyamaCH
If I could just have MW 2019 live service, I guarantee you I’d still be on that game to this very second
  • @sinachilles9086
Even if the in game choices was really bad MW 2019 set the standards for all FPS genre
  • I am convinced that God came down, made MW2019 and then left because I cannot explain how they did MW2019 so well and that they can no longer replicate it... 😐
  • Fuck the animations from mw3 nothin beatin seeing the real ghost reload them weapons

T-Rex Arms (Lucas): "What did you do with my artwork, Actvision?!"
  • some animation have upgraded, mostly from MWII weapons, MWIII weapons either buggy or just SHG lazy with their details. Also most gun sounds sound either the same , some improved, some less punchy. Overall, MWII and MWIII sound design is not too bad as some people say, even compare with MW19 Graphic wise, the high contrast of lighting in MW19 indeed make it look more gritty and realistic than mwII/MWIII , but it make dark skins like OG Roze skin blend in too well in shadow, i think its reasonable for dev make MWII/III have low contrast for gameplay balance and look less realistic than mw19.
