I love how that final “Don’t look before you take a fall” ties into the protagonist jumping blindly to defeat the evil. It’s either a beautiful coincidence or wonderful choreography, either way it made for a hell of a shot.

Is it just me, or did the animation keep you guys more emotionally invested in the song and its story?

Two emo Android mascots slay a dragon on their quest to break into the real estate market. Still a better love story than Twilight.

So I'd like to point out for thats that...may not have noticed, but Nate is still doing it... He's still referencing earlier things he's done in his newest songs. "You're not a shadow, you won't fade." A direct callback to Hold onto You, which had "We're just shadows, meant to fade." And then: "And that's all logic, takes no luck to see the end." Come on? Nate's voice acting work for the dub of Luck and Logic? Jumped out at me before the above one ever did. I suspect there's one more that I'm missing somewhere.

This is a cool animation style. I also like how you did an animated music video rather than a live action one. Really conveys the message of the song better.

Nate I have to say, you are extremely underrated.

I wanna cry every time I listen to this. It's such a powerful song. I'm not sure how Nate actually meant for it to come across, but for me, especially with the video, It's about helping someone overcome depression. The smoke dragon symbolizes the dark thoughts that come with being depressed. Not to mention "She found a way out of this place, it's a permanent escape." I feel like it's all about a girl with depression wanting to end it all, and a boy coming along to help her cure it. Hence him killing the dragon (suppressing the dark thoughts) and then they show up somewhere with light. I'm currently struggling with depression, so this hits really close to home with me. I have some battle scars, but my boyfriend's helping me kill the dragon.

I really liked this video! The animation style, the story within the video, the music and lyrics, everything about this video was just beautiful. The dragon’s shadows instead of flame being representative of the song and the darkness is just... beautiful. And that leap where the music stops was very well done.

i think it's about a girl who has anxiety and she's afraid to leave her house for some reason. the boy feels lonely, because girl isn't around anymore. one day he finally decides to step out of the shadows to help her and he rescures her from herself (maybe she tried to kill herself or shut everyone out). in the end they find out that this was just a beggining of their life. what do you think they tried to tell us with this story?

I don't know if I've already said this, but this album really helped me through a rough point in my life. So thanks Nate.
