SCP-2574 - World War 1 Lion

Finally, something new, that isn't a compilation, an overused SCP, or an SCP-001 proposal.

Fun SCP fact: our reality is an anomaly to the SCP foundation reality.

This is the first time I have heard about an SCP that sounded absolutely ridiculous, and unbelievable.

Nice to see that sometimes fiction remembers about WW1. I'm from one of the countries who were the most devastated by this war, so here the memory is pretty vivid. But I've got the impression that in most countries, WW2 obscured the Great War. Albeit, I guess that the fact that WW2 was one rare real-life case of a fight against one faction who was really evil, while WW1 is more about heads of State, governments or Armies sending millions to die in their name (though when looked closely in the Balkans and Ottoman Empire they already were factions who wanted to genocide minorites), make easier to clearly identifed good and bad guys in fictions about WW2 but much more difficult in fictions set in WW1.

I enjoyed this, the start reminded me of the video on what if the WWs never happened, and the feeling of imminence built up across the video gave it the flavor it needed considering the rumors of war in this... Offbeat decade. Keep it up! I knew there are overlooked spots everywhere and you didn't disappoint explaining this one.

I have no clue why I’m writing this but I thought it was a cool idea. SCP-8000: All-Knower, Object Class: Safe, Description: SCP-8000 appears to be a completely normal human boy around 10 years of age. The exact nature of SCP-8000 discovered has been requested to be kept private, as requested by SCP-8000 and his parents. SCP-8000 has the ability to almost instantly learn the origin of whatever he focuses on, from being able to see the life of a tree before it became the table in his family’s kitchen, to being able to give detailed descriptions of extinct animal and floral life. Due to SCP-8000 being both an extremely recent discovery and him being a child, the Foundation is currently working on the proper accommodations needed for the child as they believe his ability has the potential to aid in the research for the many other thousands of SCPs as well as information that may help in terminating certain ones.

Did they ever try using the Dragonslayer to take it down? Heck they probably could have gotten rid of it with the seaslug.

What about using ww1 weapons on the lion? Just from the top of my head perhaps it can only be damaged from weapons based on ww1. After all it is supposed to be EVERYTHING about WW1. Perhaps Princip’s gun that killed Ferdinand? Just a wild guess lol
