After the incredibly action-packed popcorn flick Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, we have MANY questions: who will Godzilla fight next?, where will the franchise go next?, and could we see Godzilla in... SPACE?!

  • 3:47 correction here, the Skar King is Suko's dad as we can see alot of female apes in his Lair with many babies that looks alot like Suko and Skar, The ape that Skar pushed in a pit of lava was the male babysitter of suko
  • @radidongang
Small nitpick about the Skar King's crystal: It controlled Shimo somewhat like a shock collar, not mind control.

4:19 I didn't notice that Dr. Serazawa, an extremely important character who sacrificed himself (read: died) in a previous film wasn't in this one? You sure about that? It was kind of a major plot point in KotM dude. I don't think the human characters in these films are as "forgettable" as critics like to claim they are.
  • @TF2Fan101
Couple things: 1. The crystal Scar King uses is actually from Shimo’s body. That’s how he’s able to control her. 2. The subterranean tribe is called the Iwi, not the Iwu.
  • @PamelaJGranados
Space Godzilla was created by Biollante's dust particles (Biollante has Godzilla's dna) which went to space, and got stuck on a blackhole and fed off a star's radiation.
  • @bingo9499
Considering Shirazawa died bringing Godzilla back to life to end King Ghidorah, I can imagine why he's not in a sequel to that movie.
  • @Jake-kc6js
Fun fact, giant humanoid robots already exist in the monsterverse. In one of kongs comics a crazy millionaire creates a mech called the titan hunter, complete with electric shockers and a giant claw hand. Kong may have destroyed it and the pilot killed but they could very easily get those blueprints and create more of these
  • @HotTakeJake
We don’t disrespect Serizawa! “Let them fight” is the most iconic line from the universe IMO
  • From the multiple inaccuracies to the stretches in logic and jumps to conclusions this theory is a stinky one
  • @Zalinth
The crystal on Skar King's whip is pretty clearly part of Shimo's body, not a meteor. And Skar King doesn't use it to "communicate with her telepathically" it just causes her pain. He uses it to force her to submit to him. These points were spelled out pretty clearly during the film... were you watching a different movie?

This is the first time in a while where I have to go “that theory stinks.” This focused on just the crystal details rather than the developing themes, involving arrogance of nature, or the planned structure of the Monsterverse. There’s already been 2 mechs in the Monsterverse. Implementing ones that are meant to be more permanent just seems redundant. There were also several inaccuracies in the video, like Iwu instead of Iwi, Suko’s dad, and saying the comics may not be canon when they were stated to still be after the timeline confusions caused by the Monarch show. While Spacegodzilla is likely, so is Gigan, as he’s been in a few spots. We also have to consider that if we want a full team-up movie, we have to think of a character that will be a challenge for even Shimo. If Lee’s speculating the asteroid that hit Godzilla (which was the one that killed the dinosaurs, so he’s over 60 million years old) caused the crystal formations, it seems false, since it wouldn’t have hit the Hollow Earth. Plus, Legendary likely wouldn’t release a movie with big license issues until they got the permission, so there shouldn’t be any need to implement only Pacific Rim. While a crossover is likely, it would likely just be a spin-off for both franchises, in which they also have to buff the jaegers because they stand no chance atm. Considering the universe’s planned structure, we believe GxK 2 wants Godzilla to be the main character rather than Kong, and Legendary wants Godzilla, Kong, and Mothra to have mainly independent movies. I can imagine for Godzilla’s solo adventure, it can just be a quick catch-up where he Final Wars style has to fight the titans on the surface. We can get a Rodan return and a Gigan appearance. People really want Biollante, so maybe he can team up with Mothra for that fight, since they’re lovers. For Kong, he can still explore much more, no questions there. Suko can be a buddy for this adventure. Shimo can join at first but be prohibited later by some capture or whatever; she’s just too op for a Kong story. For Mothra, it sounds like they might do a prequel, but she is definitely capable of a modern adventure, maybe just bring in Battra. While I think Spacegodzilla is the candidate for GxK 2 as a space threat, it’s not for just the crystals. Ultimately, everyone hopes the universe climaxes with Destoroyah, though even he might not be too hard for Shimo, so he’d have to be adapted to be even stronger.
  • I took "a monster who ate a star" to mean he has a nuclear battery within him. They may not have understood nuclear power, but a giant lizard shooting energy beams sure looks like a sun.

Still love the video and still take my like and comment- just feels a little like this video wasn’t made for or by a Godzilla or at least monsterverse fan tbh. “Suko’s dad”, “Iwu people”, “you probably didn’t notice Serizawa wasn’t in the film”, and countless “yeah I know this is dumb, buuuut”-eqsue comments. Feels like a slight immersion break in that trademarked Film Theory enthusiasm and care. Hopefully this comes off as constructive and you’re the best ❤
  • @jpyanity443
“Hey boss. I know it’s pretty late into production but we need the blueprints for the scene where we show Kong’s new arm.” “Ah just use one from one of our other films. It’s not like anyone will notice”
  • @canis2020
That wasn't Suki's dad. Just his caretaker. It is heavily implied the Suko is Scar kings son.
  • @datMovieScene
Skar King's crystal did not control Shimo telepathically, it merely forced her into submission through pain, specifically directed headaches, and she did his bidding for it to stop.
  • @Zilla1954
A few mistakes in this video, like calling that Kong that Skar King kicked into the lava Suko's dad when there is little proof of that and more proof that Skar King is Suko's actual father, the fact that the natives of Hollow Earth are called Iwi (not eewoo), the fact that Film Theory pointed out that Serizawa wasn't in Godzilla x Kong as if they thought people who had actually been following the series would forget that HUGE plot point where he literally sacrificed himself for Godzilla, and the fact that when he mentions contradictions to Godzilla: Awakening, he shows King of the Monsters when it was actually Monarch (a show contradicted by the movies themselves, so make of that what you will) that contradicted Awakening. I know these are minor nitpicks, but I hate it when big channels come in like they know some stuff when they don't.
  • @rachelvieira397
11:29 I have to disagree with you there, Skar king is probably one of the most memorable villains in the MV
