For the Series Finale of "GT4RS Versus" we rented out Thunderhill Raceway and brought the Track Built GT4, a GT4 RS, and a 992 Manual GT3 to race, review and compare on track! We answer a few questions, including which build is the fastest on track, which is most fun to drive, and can an upgraded GT4 stay competitive with the GT3 and GT4RS?

Solid video guys! Appreciate you putting this together.
  • @nicbean.
Was waiting for this one! Great video.
  • I’ve got a 981 GT4 with DeMan 4.5. It was a step up from a 991.1 911S with some mods. The difference in handling from the rear engine to the mid engine chassis was mind blowing. As you noticed, it is so user friendly, not as tricky as needed to manage the 911 rear end. The 911 has a lot of understeer on corner exit compared to the GT4, a point I didn’t hear. Maybe the GT3 isn’t similar to the 911S in that measure. I have also upgraded the dampers (Bilstein Clubsport), gearing, LSD, exhaust, tires (slicks), brake pads, and more. I am not the fastest on the straights in my advanced HPDE group, but can carry more speed deeper into the corners and close the gaps. My dreams are whether a GT3RS would be worth doubling the investment. So far, sanity has held me in check on that. One guy in my group with a highly modded Cayman 4.0 has added a bigger wing and a big front splitter, and now corners quicker, leading to faster lap times. That’s been interesting to see.

Fantastic reviews. You deserve 100x the views and subs.

Nice overview! Glad you found a somewhat dry day at Thill to compare the cars.
  • Just astonishing comparison. Great job guys. On 🔥 YouTube Channel. 👍
  • Great video guys! Adding the GT3RS to the comparison would be awesome.
  • Very good analysis each delivers something unique and specific to what your asking for. In my case of less track more canyon my GTS 4.0 is perfectly suited where I can overwhelm the chassis and grip limits compared to those cars with so much aero and rubber.
  • you guys are killing it. 4 months and already 1.3k subscribers. with the planning and quality of videos, it makes sense. kudos. ....but i think i need to add a porsche to my lineup to give my amateur videos at least a bit of auto-appeal 😅. keep killing it! subscribed.

Awesome vid. My parents lives very near Thunderhill, so I’ve watch this track evolve from its inception to what it is today. I’ve actual had the opportunity to sport drive this track a few times with Hooked On Driving club in my 06 Mini JCW. So fun, but of course nothing like hitting that tarmac in one of these fine machines featured here. 👍

Awesome vid, fellas. You guys made some very insightful points that make alot of sense. Its a win-win-win situation whichever of the 3 you choose! If someone put a gun to my head, I'd take the 4RS.
  • I would be more than happy to own a Gt4. The rest would be a great bonus. Nice episode guys. Looks like a fun circuit. Greetings from Belgium.
