Kaveh Solhekol reacts to England's Round of 16 game against Slovakia last night, which saw Slovakia on the cusp of booking themselves into a quarter-final appearance until a last minute overhead kick goal from Jude Bellingham forced the game into extra time. It was then in extra time that Harry Kane, assisted by Ivan Toney, bagged England's second goal to stay in the tournament.

  • Can’t someone at the F.A. give Gareth a call ffs?? Tell him to change tactics! He works for them right??
  • Only a tactical GENIUS could put Toney on with 1 minute left to alter the game decisively!
  • @CarlitoGio
On ITV. Lee Dixon “In Southgate we trust” when Foden equalised. But it was chalked off lol 😂😂

In the friendlies, like against Iceland, they played this way and everyone said wait until the tournament started. Then, in the group stage, they played the exact same way and everyone said, yes but they got through and just wait to see how they perform in the knock-off games. Well, here we are and I don't think I've seen much change from that game against Iceland. Maybe this team is really built for the counter-attack, not for those teams that would normally park the bus and defend deep. Maybe we'll see a difference when England will play those bigger, more dangerous opponents. Maybe :face-orange-biting-nails:
  • He's been the "most successful" in terms of tournament progression, not win rates. And that progression has heavily relied on easy runs. Southgate is shite. The team look like they're lost because they're not receiving meaningful instruction, because Southgate has no clue. You can't have a plan B when you struggle to have a plan A. That's why we fall off in games

England are paying Mr Bean £5m to manage them...
  • "What was your thinking around bringing Ivan Toney on for the last minute. " To answer that question and get nobody in the room to laugh is why Gareth makes the big bucks.
  • @Richard-fv7rq
Yes it was shocking. Gareth has no clue what he is doing. Lots of talent for sure and it is completely wasted by poor selection. We need a manager with balls.
  • @robovac3557
There's ol Kaveh with the same tone, same expression, same delivery, sme cadence.
  • Everyone in England can see the problems apart from Southgate! Its a f&cking joke! How lucky was we last night! The goal was amazing but once again we were shocking to say the least two shots on target the whole game!! I honestly can not wait to see the back of him, hes absolutely spineless, all that talent on the bench players that like to get forward and have a go! And they are just waisted. Southgate just sits on his arse, doing nothing, spawning his way to victory. Wait till we meet spain or Germany, or the swiss, will smash us if we keep this lameness up!!!!!
  • Will LMFAO if England end up winning this, it wouldn't surprise me. Love to see how their fans react then😆
  • @JayDeeChannel
Why isn’t the message getting thru to Southgate? What is the FA doing?
  • @lillygate401
I live in Germany and every time England play, on ZDF Programme there are 2 x footballers giving comments and I am fed up with them degrading us last night Kramer said he couldn't stand to look at Bellingham etc they are very personal and that should not be even mentioned it has nothing to do with sport, I'm english and proud to be,
  • @Ghostdusteruk
The game was rubbish the whole team was a let down can't see us going any further in this competition.
  • @dbugatto
England have succeeded in previous tournaments in spite of Southgate , not because of him. I hate this Southgate 'best manager' narrative ....
  • Unfortunately Walker and stones are still taking orders from pep, pass pass pass then pass back to Pickford who wellies it up to the halfway line 😂
