Last time I ranked all the levels, today, I talk about what makes all the Pizza Tower boss battles SO GOOD!!! What's even funnier about The Noise is that the reason the second phase is harder is because the giant balloon knocked away the TV cast so now that he isn't on screen he's allowed to be a dangerous piece of shit
  • Its honestly admirable how Pizza Tower not only made the levels enjoyable, but made the bossfights just AS enjoyable as the levels.
  • @BlueCoreBard
phase 3 of pizzaface is rather easy, which is why I like to think that it's not a boss rush. IT'S A VICTORY LAP

What I really like about the Vigilante is the concept of the cheeseslimes having one hero, one VIGILANTE to guard and help them in there time of need because as we all know cheeseslimes are the weakest enemy in pizza tower,so the concept of one hero that stands out from all the rest is really cool to me.

I've seen someone say it before, I love the Noise's fight because the arena, the camera crew, the fact he repeatedly messes with you. It has been said "This is not a normal fight, it's now a grudge match." and you can feel it.
  • @reddodeado301
Boss 4 is also the only boss to NOT have the "Blackout Punch" part that separates phase changes. He just lives at 0 HP for a few seconds before healing.
  • I really love how each boss escalates difficulty. From Pepperman, you learn to take patience and learn how the boss battle is formulated. Then you get The Vigilante with the gun upgrade and moving hazards around the battle. The Noise show you the importance of parry and throwable enemies. Fake Pepino cranks up the difficulty and tests your reflexes. All these four bosses make their job to teach you everything you need for the final battle, which encapsulates everything you've learned so far which also make you feel so fucking rewarded after beating the shit out of Pizzaface. Truly a masterpiece of a game. 🥘

Although this detail is minor, on the paintings pepperman is seen to have green eyes and brown arms although he actually has blue eyes and dark red arms. But if you look at it from an artistic perspective, it makes sense because red and green are complementary colours and when they mix they make brown, just like in the paintings. And when you remember Pepperman is an artist, hopfully you can understand that pepperman isn't joking around whenever he makes paintings. Really goes to show how much the developers thought about the boss fights

Wild that a guy with a pizza slice for a head is tied for my favorite final boss with Raven Beak from Metroid Dread
  • What I like about The Noise is that it's literally telling you to taunt at the person who has been taunting at you the entire fight, it's definitely one of the reasons why I love pizza tower as a whole

2 things about the music not mentioned in the video: 1: The Noise's theme is made so that, If you get every possible hit on him (Bar the first one, Right as the fight begins.) in the first phase, The music is made so that it should synced up. To the point that I've heard some people who've played this game be surprised that it isn't dynamic. Bonus points to the fact that the transitional drum solo between phases is most likely to be synced up near perfectly with Peppino and Noise's roller brawl. 2: the music that plays during FP's 3rd phase is officially called "Rise and shine campers". Most (Myself included) believe this to be a reference to the Total Drama series. But this begs the question: Why? Why is the name a reference to Total Drama, And for THIS track no less. Yes, This is the game that has Mort the Chicken as a guest character in it, But that was played for laughs. This is just something extra to make the boss even more confusing and terrifying.
  • Fake Peppino is such an enigma. Honestly, even though you deliberately go through a gate to fight him, it feels like an accidental encounter, and you're simply fighting to just escape. Especially since it just feels like he's messing with you a lot of the time- And the music doesn't help with how unnerving the whole thing truly is-
  • Cuphead and Pizza Tower have to be top tier platformer/boss games. The frame by frame animation in both games is extremely pleasing and adds to the love.
  • The final boss fight doesnt turn into a boss rush, it turns peppino into the boss
  • The Vigilante is kinda underrated. He's a bit like Bandana Dee from Kirby; a normal enemy with a hat and weapon.
  • @Gamesperger
If I Remember something I read correctly then the reason why Peppino Doesn’t outright kill the bosses is that he’s not at his maximum Level of pure unbridled Rage.
  • @Lekereki
Idk if someone said this, but in the third phase of the fake peppino fight they used to rubberband you, so you were forced to stay close to fake peppino. It was a lot harder but tbh I wish they brought it back.
  • The difficulty balancing in pizza tower is phenomenal. Maybe the best I’ve ever seen. All of the levels are completely accessible for newcomers and hardcore people. The ability for them to make levels that flow and play amazingly and intuitively on a first run through as well as on a P rank is just beyond impressive. This goes doubly for the boss fights too. They managed to make fair bosses with good telegraphs that are perfectly not too easy and not too hard. You’ll face a challenge beating them but it won’t take you long at all, and P ranking them can be hard but is totally fair. Game balancing like this is just… impossible. I don’t know how they made this game so good
