  • Just wanna thank you for the video. About 150 students of mine follow along with your plans to make this cutting board each year in our high school woodshop class.
  • There can never be enough video like this for new folks starting out. Nice to see something being shown without the need for the high priced equipment that most new folks don't have. I'd personally like to see more in the realm of minimal equipment levels. Nice work and worth a sub.

Man, Im never getting tired watching people doing magic
  • This was brilliant! I made 6 small boards for serving purposes in this style. Really easy and quick work for a very nice outcome.
  • @onethousandwords
These instructions were great, super simple, and the boards were a lot of fun to make. I like the thin stripe over the thick ones in the packaged kits because they look more elegant. I couldn't find the same widths, but I had extra lengths of 3/4" leftovers, so I just added them up to 8" across for the thinner main boards. A+ would do again. These are good travel-friendly gifts, too - they pack away easily!
  • @BlackDouglas1000
This was great! I need to make a BIG board to help with my bread making obsession. I can easily adapt these methods to a big build with my basic tools and skills. Thank you!
  • The first chopping board video I found that didn’t involved using a jointer. Great stuff. Subbed.
  • @abelmorales4303
Awesome video! Finally..... a tutorial on cutting boards that is realistic for newbies! đź’Ż
  • @iamjamesgill
This is the best video I've ever seen on cutting boards. Fantastic job, especially for the beginner audience.
  • @joshuas3424
Awesome video! Simple and not overly complicated to someone new (like myself). As someone that laser engraves onto wood and occasional cutting boards I’ve decided to, instead of buying already made boards to engrave on, to make my own and I’ve got minimal tools. All the tools you used here I have as well so I’ll have to try!
  • @SnakeJr1225
Thank you for the video. I have been wanting to make a cutting board for some time now and this video has given me the push!! Thanks again for a quality tutorial đź‘Ś
  • @herbwoodworks
Appreciate you, Matt! This video is great at demystifying and lowering that barrier to entry for folks. Also love your wax recipe and methodology there. Has served me quite well.
  • @kahoycrafts
Those boards are so clean and elegant, thanks for all of the great tips, I've been using a water bottle for glue-ups lately because it was conveniently pre-filled after a bike ride, but a spray bottle would make so much more sense.
  • @larrybaker5316
wow, beautiful job! and I like the tip at 5:30 with the clamping calls, at 75 years old I have started a little wood working again and will add these to my list to make, I have made cutting boards, chess boards, etc years ago. Thanks for sharing.
  • @mvilla4614
Thank you for providing a simple method, im a virgin to woodworking but I want to make something nice. Not to mention I'm working with the basics tool wise. I cant wait to execute, thanks again
  • @durbdeedurb
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. Have my 1st one gluing as we speak and I can wait to see them when they are finished! Getting 6 gifts ready for the holiday season!
  • Wow the tip about ripping the ripping consistent size strips on the table saw but using the cutoff was golden! Makes me feel dumb for not thinking of it! Thanks for the video! I had a planer that was my dads but he got his shop complete and took it back so now all I got is a jointer...lol! This video is great thank you!
  • @CorrectCaulking
Great video! It's amazing how you managed to create such a beautiful cutting board with just a few basic tools. This is super encouraging for beginners who don't have access to a full workshop. Thanks for sharing these practical tips!
  • @carasmussen27
I like the narrower strips. Thanks for the great idea Some GREAT advice thank you
