Played a spider man with 5 shields and a spear. Became a legendary fighter after a drawn out fight with an ettin. Then i defeated a bronze colossus with relative ease. Then i tried to talk to some elves and jumped out of a tree and died

Imagine interrupting someones joke to introduce yourself and then all you say is "praise suicide."

Dwarf Fortress is so overwhelming to me, but I do love watching people play. Really appreciate this.

Edi's Fist bandits attacked Cupaxe. It was truly horrifying.

It's definitely not spam. It is how your fortress learns rumors, and information about the world, and also how your adventure does too.

I just realised while playing adv mode...you can talk to horses(and other animals probably)....you give them comppiments and tell them jokes its like they understand...they get positive arritude and confident towards you 😅😅😅😅 Ofc they don't respond with anything.

You don't actually need meat in DF; any unit of food is indistinguishable from any other for the purpose of nutrition. Goblins have abysmally poor intuition. If you think Intuition is a dump stat, then you haven't been making good use of the combat system. On the other hand, you never have to worry about a goblin's strength reducing their momentum. Muscle mass gained per unit of Strength is a percentage of the body plan's initial mass, so the Strength they would have to reach before mass offsets velocity gains is higher even than dwarves. The square cubed law is on their side.

was playing a goblin, grinded him up to be able to fight the angels in a vault i found just to find out i cant pull levers to open locked doors and by extension not be able to finish the vault dungeon after spending a good couple hours slowly working my way through the powerful monsters -.- guess ill come back to adventure mode in a few months when things are a bit more polished

If I were to make a fanart of your adventures, where should I send it?

Goblin that doesn't do any gobbling, a twisted race indeed. :P

"Life is, in a word, theft." Great line
  • @Moncew
The most important lesson of all, knowing when to make your exit thanks!
  • Thank you for the option to play the same file while we listen, It’ll be fun to see how the paths diverge!

Whenever my adventurers commit crimes, I always introduce myself first. If my party is going to be full of criminals, we're going to be the most famous, productive criminals in all the land - known for our ruthlessness and also politeness. (~@12:35)

Do combat preferences still exist in this version? The battle towards the end was dragging out, because your character often kept dodging by themselves before she could strike. In the pre-Steam version, I remember you can set what action your adventurer does automatically when attacking or being attacked, like 'always charging', 'always dodge/parry' or 'standing their ground'.
  • Thanks for the adventure mode videos. Just wondering if you would ever do a video on wrestling. Having trouble with it and my dwarf usually just strikes
