After surviving my childhood, I managed to escape the snake's den by making my own way in the world, asking nothing of any of them, taking nothing from any of them, charting my own course, & putting as much distance (geographically & energetically speaking) between them & me/us. You were not being denied something precious. Rather, you were being protected from something dark that (family secrets) you could not see nor comprehend.
