I remember being at that Popmart concert in Landsdowne Rd and coming home late in the morning after it and turning on the TV and Princess Diana had died will never forget it. Bono has done so much bringing awareness to the people it’s such a shame some people don’t appreciate him and are negative about him he doesn’t have to help it’s not like he needs the fame from it.Irish people should be proud of him and the rest of the lads in U2 🇮🇪

Such a beautiful city - lovely to see the transcendent power of rock n roll in action. I still believe in the hope of the 90s and while Bono sounds like a nobhead at times, look at what it meant to the people there!

No one saying they wish someone else was to play. No one complaining, everyone was just very appreciative and excited <3

Bono's voice caved in during that show, unfortunately
  • I'd like to think that music is beyond politics,,,its a pitty bono isn't.
  • They're great for rasing awareness for the ordinary folk on average pay to donate money to a cause, meanwhile they are multi millionaires and don't donate a penny
  • Deployed there as part of IFOR/SFOR PeaceMAKERS with TF90 out of EBT. 4 deployments and when I went downrange on D3 and D4, my team and I were CASOPS for all of MND-South and West. Even the grass had bullet bites on it. Fuck that place. Wouldn't go back if you paid me. With what I know now and what I knew then. I never let the mujahedeen out of my sight where those good ole "Sarajevo Roses" were in the square that caused Clinton to force the Dayton Accords.

I just wish Bono and Bob Geldolf could retire into the sunset permanently and makes us all happier.
