Finally after a week's worth of on and off labor its alive. I had to stack 6 head gaskets in order for the head to clear the valves. I've wanted to to do this for years, next I really like to make a clear crankcase cover plate but that'll be a little more involved because the camshaft on these flathead briggs engines actually use the cover plate as a bridge/bearing (theres a recess drilled into the plate and one of the snouts on the cam rests in it)...so I'll have to get that drilled out perfectly or it won't work. I found two more engines on that property, might feature them in future projects. Thank you for watching and if you have any questions feel free to reach out....I'd love to help you do this.
