Ninja Nerds!

In this lecture Professor Zach Murphy will be discussing cholesterol metabolism. We describe the various enzymatic processes involved in converting Acetyl-CoA into cholesterol. We also discuss the regulation of some of the more important enzymes in this pathway as well as their relationship to pharmaceuticals (statins). Finally, we talk about the use of cholesterol in bile salts, steroid hormones, and lipoproteins. We hope you enjoy this lecture and be sure to support us below!

Since this will be the last video before my biochem exam: Thank you. These videos were fantastic, I have now watched all of them except the detailed ETC ones. If I pass, it will be in large parts thanks to you. But could you for future generations also do a video on Pyrimidine and Purine Synthesis and Degradation? I did pass. Currently doing state exams

Somehow you have managed to teach me more in 28 minutes than any medical school professor has taught me in 6 weeks.... I try to give them the benefit of the doubt but the way you lay it out makes everything so much easier to digest (Ha!). I truly hope one day you are paid a trillion billion dollars cause you deserve it
