I don't understand how a person can't be content with a person. Surely a relationship is a beautiful thing but these people are just never happy.

Wanted me to apologize when I didn't do anything wrong. He was in the wrong from the get-go and should have never started anything with me. I know he can't be happy. Why else would he drive by my house after he was recently remarried? He kept a pied-à-terre that I didn't know about when we were together. I know he made fun of me. It's okay because he's getting his karma. He lost all of his money at the worst possible time when becoming an old man. He was a very selfish man in his youth. Now he's just a crumpled old man trying to relive a dead dream. His worst fears have come true.
