  • Awaiting charges for self-defence?
  • @KingT0m
if he was a police office he'd have emptied his clip on the guy who was holding a knife and it'll be nothing and no one goes to jail , it happened last week in wayne in some apartment complex for some schizophrenic person was holding a knife and was killed by police, no charges. In this case it is a self defense , someone charged at him with a kitchen knife in his own backyard , what did he supposed to do differently other than defending himself?? pour him a glass of milk ?
  • This could have been prevented if we banned all knifes and sued manufacturers for making these weapons of war.

So the guy committed the “crime” of self defense after being attacked with a knife 🔪 in his own backyard, got it. If a cop had mag dumped this guy for lunging at him with a knife 🔪 there would be no questions asked.
  • @YishHarnel
And kim Worthy will definitely go ahead with the charges she's thirsty for numbers

Such nonsense. Everyone has disputes with their neighbors, there's no need to come at someone with a knife. I know the man wrestled the knife out of his hand and probably didn't need to kill him but it's also understandable that in the moment you would still be in survival mode and seeing this person as an existential threat and go overboard. Either way it's just nonsense that it had to come to this

Boy, the next neighborhood block party is going to be real strained. !

  • So to clarify; It is not self defense if a threat is already neutralized/disarmed. If the threat is not trying to fight for the weapon or trying to kill the other person in another way; it's murder if you try to kill them. Obviously, don't make a judgement until more facts of the case are known. But if the dead was already disarmed and not fighting for the knife or trying to kill the subject in another way, stabbing him was an act of 2nd degree murder or manslaughter.
