HOUSE HACKING OUR GARAGE FOR OUR SON SINCE RENTS ARE WAY TOOO HIGH!

Once I hit 20, I was on my own. No matter what happened, I could never go back home. I stayed in abusive marriages and have lived just above the poverty line as a single mother. I will stand by my kids no matter what until I’m dead. You guys are what parents are supposed to be. Not every family has the ability to do this, but that doesn’t matter. It’s the idea that counts.

Some kids really do win the parent lottery. That space is great.

And when the son moves out, what a great space for family and friends to stay. Filled with character also. Beautiful! What a blessed child. You know he won't leave, right! 😂

After years of struggling as a single mom, I asked in a moment of sadness, if when my son goes off to college in the future, could I live in the room above parents garage so I could finish my degree & get to a better place? The answer was painfully, no. If parents were hit with a medical condition, elderly challenges, then I'd likely be welcome because I'd serve a purpose. My door will always be open for my son, no matter what. He could have my room if that's all there was. I don't need much. Food, shelter, love and a sense of belonging. To be appreciated is the greatest gift. So true who said it above, this reno is magnificent and some kids really do hit the jackpot. Bless these parents beautiful hearts.

This is a Fabulous make over of a garage. Our daughter is a travel nurse. Her contracts typically run 13 weeks. There is a specific website travel nurses go to for their living quarters. This would be so great for traveling nurses! Great Great Job!

The step up for the bathroom is BRILLIANT. I'm having an ADU built in a walkout basement. I'm definitely stealing that idea. Adding the plumbing on top of the slab rather than having to dig into it will be a cost saver. Thanks for sharing!

I can't articulate how soothing this video was to watch. Dad's presentation was so inviting as we joined him on the tour. Every detail was done so thoughtfully, loved how he explained why things were done and it all made perfect sense. The decor is spectacular and inspiring.
