Him staying in the MLS till age 18 could be a big problem for his development. The difference in play between the MLS and the top leagues in Europe is massive. I think he would develop better if he went through a similar development plan like Foden, Saka, Musiala etc.

Doesn’t matter how good any US player is, not if they’re playing for idiot coaches and corrupt/biased system. But as long as he plays in a real league with pro/relegation, he’ll at least have have an opportunity of experiencing quality at the club level.

The Union has one of the best youth development in the MLS. They've been consistently one of the top 5 teams in the last 5 years despite losing their stars to Europe and bigger clubs every couple of seasons.

Playing in the MLS is a terrible decision for this kid. The level of play is not anywhere close to the top leagues in Europe. Pulisic going to Germany as a teenager was arguably the biggest factor in his success.
