Gotta give it to Poseidon, even after getting both his arms cut of and having his abdomen sliced to pieces he refused to allow for even the slightest bit of humbleness to sprout. Dude was fully committed to his own arrogance.
  • Idc how many losses you take, killing a GOD as your first W automatically wins my respect.

There's something almost poetic in this fight. Poseidon is practically a being who knew no defeat, ripping his opposition apart countless times. In an ironic twist, however, it's sort of the deciding factor here. Kojiro has lost so many times that he doesn't just remember the power of the people who came before him. He has a mastery of the knowledge of losing in general. He can envision and foresee each of his own movements and predict the ways in which he loses each clash. He understands the realistic consequences of his actions and, as a result, practically looks into his own future to find every instance where he doesn't lose even by the slimmest thread of life. Defeat is like a maze that he's so familiar with that he can navigate it until it brings him to the ultimate victory. The one where defeat means the tragedy and sorrow of countless people who he once clashed ideals and dreams with. It's the one fight he can't afford to lose and he's the one person who knows losing better than anyone.

poseidon: “how did i lose?” also poseidon: spams the one move he knows
  • You know a guy is badass when he call a god that live thousands years a kid.

Humanity and Valkirias: YES, WE WON ONE MATCH!!! Kojiro: F--k, i just interrupted my lose streak!

Lu Bu: Humans are a lot stronger than anyone ever thought Adam: Humans can back even the strongest of gods into a corner Kojiro: Humans can defeat the gods

He has lost more battles than even a god has fought, and that is why he was victorious. He lost that battle a hundred times before defeating Poseidon, but it was enough.

This fight is when I realized that the backstories were fine. If this fight didn't have any of his backstory I wouldn't have cared if he lost. I really wanted this guy to win.

The fact Kojiro called Poseidon a kid even though Poseidon is far older than him is crazy
  • @chrish8320
Kojiro's victory was so memorable bcos of how intimitdating the show made Poseidon look like, and how Kojiro is literally an actual man that doesn't hv crazy powers like adam and is purely from training. Also it certainly was satisfying to see a win after 2 continuous defeats T.T

Best part about this episode is Loki’s quote “this little joke of theirs isn’t funny anymore” (he said something along those lines I believe) it added to how serious this win was
  • “The truth of the matter is I despise perfection. If something is truly perfect, that’s it. The bottom line becomes, there is no room for imagination, no space for intelligence or ability or improvement. Always strive to be better than what came before you but not perfect.” - Mayuri Kurotsuchi
  • One of the things I like most about Kojiro's fight is literally how it began. The fact that he's aware enough to gauge Poseidon's capabilities (a freaking god) feels like it was meant to show just how many people he had lost to, that gauging their power level just comes as second nature to him.

Poseidon believed gods were perfect, and that's why he killed his older brother, who he saw act no different from a human. Poseidon was the most arrogant of the gods. And thus was the first to fall to humanity. Said human was none other than humanity's greatest loser. A truly fitting death for Poseidon.
  • @rururu2879
I was afraid he'd lose. I cried of joy when he won and I was afraid he was just imagining he had won 😂😂😂😭

A man who dedicated his whole life to be a learning experience, finally was able to give a lesson of his own. A lesson in humility
