Choosing all starters is such a fun concept, I liked the execution on this! I'd also be interested to see a 'We dont choose all 3 of our starters' where you have to flip a coin/roll a dice to see which mon you get the ability/tera type or body or moveset from.
  • "Can we have Pokemon fusions?" "We have Pokemon fusions at home" Pokemon fusions at home: That Koraidon was a threat and a half

Cool concept but honestly I think it’d be cool to see this reversed… opponent picks the combo, it’d would allow for a wider variety since the “bad” mons would actually be used

Hey Patterz, a Chinese guy who lives in Japan here to explain the cha! Yeah, Sinistcha is based off of Matcha not "ocha." The Pokemon explanation is in its move Matcha Gotcha, but the Japanese explanation is that お茶, ocha, translates to tea, and usually refers to green tea by default, but there are plenty of varieties of tea we drink, like ウーロン茶 (烏龍茶), which is a sort of dark amber color. These teas are also not uniquely Japanese by nature, while we do drink a lot of it, and are heavily borrowed from Chinese culture. Matcha is very distinctly Japanese, tea in powdered form is rarely seen in China as we prefer loose leaf tea over powders or bags. The design of Sinistcha is also unique! The thing on its head is called "茶筅" or "chasen" and is used as a whisk to...fluff up? Is that the right term.....hmm...aerate I guess would be the techncal term I guess....but yeah, it's both ceremonial and practical and a part of preparing a proper bowl (yes, bowl. Not cup, bowl, we drink it in bowls) of Japanese matcha. It's super specific, so technically wrong to say ocha in this case, as matcha is the most "correct" term. Just thought this would be a fun tidbit cuz we know Patterz loves learning about Japanese language and culture haha. Hope it helps~

3:40 every day i feel like a little fish that goes bloop bloop bloop inbetween the two gods of draconic legendary glory

Fun fact about Koraidon: its regular ability, Orichalcum Pulse, gives it a 33% increase to its Attack Stat while the sun is up. So it basically has a built-in Protosynthesis anyway

This really was a great concept Patterz. The only one of your choices I second guessed was not giving Donphan dreadnaw's move set and made a shell smashing donphan

Honestly I’d love to see a version where it’s all or nothing. You get 6 save files as per usually but you have to pick all 3 starters. So you may have an Arceus, a flamigo, and a venomoth as your starter choices for example, and you want Arceus you have to add all 3 to your team. And if you think it’s not worth the risk, you have to skip out on that save file, and move to the next. And if you haven’t picked your team by the 6th save file you automatically have to take it

This was almost as bad as that time when Vinny got rolled by Shady holding off of using Kyogre and Zacian "Been getting rolled by the B team" in Vinnys words

Matcha is Chinese, dates back to the Tang Dynasty around 7-10 AD. Looking for an easier way to transport green tea they came up with the clever workaround of a powdered version mixed with salt water and turned into 'bricks'. Granted most Matcha comes from Japan nowadays, it wasn't introduced to Japan until about the 12th century at the latest. We all learned something today lol

FINALLY!!!! I suggested this idea a back when these randomized starter videos first came out. SO happy to see it finally being used.
  • @jayschofield2472
My guy, I love this concept, not even watched yet but from the title alone, I love this
  • @GrimOakheart
You should do this again, but whoever is getting the pokemon can choose 1 as Ability, Body, Moves, and your opponent gets to pick how the remaining two are used.
  • @gagesiana7793
Love this concept! I can't wait wait to see how it evolves the more you play it!!

My new favorite “Then we battle” concept! It’s really unfortunate that the Zekrom combo was so easily defeated, but given the fact that you were facing Luke, you were doomed from the outset.
  • @ghastlyyokai
This concept is amazing. If you were able to implement model fusions of all three starters, like you use to in Sword and Shield, then this would just amplify this coolness of this idea. If only it was possible to
  • @CarlosThadeu
I barely started the video and I already love the concept ❤
