For the people that are wondering what this is, it's Tako Tamago. Tako Tamago are octopus eggs! They are either eaten raw, or cooked, like in the video. Thank you for reading and have a nice day! :D

I am Japanese, but I learned about this food for the first time. I looked it up and found that it is an octopus egg and is eaten as a delicacy in northern Japan. The average Japanese probably don't know this food.

*Meanwhile in the spaceship Alien Wife :Honey, where are our eggs ?
  • It's interesting how no one is talking about how much an octopus mother cares for her eggs, continuously, meticulously blowing gentle water current to keep eggs oxygenated, parasites or fungus free, she protects them from predators, and all this without food for months (2-10 months depending on species). And SHE DIES ONCE THE EGGS HATCH..

I’m Japanese but I’ve never seen this in all the years I’ve lived in Japan. I certainly wouldn’t call it Street Food. And I wish there was some kind of narration about the texture of the food, what it tastes like, etc.

I haven’t seen and tried this before, hopefully I’ll get a chance to taste it. Thanks for sharing.

The first person to ever eat these must have been desperate.

такое чувство что если прилетят инопланетяне то японцы их просто съедят с соевым соусом . причем приготовление выложат в ютуб ))

  • I DON'T think I could bring myself to trying any of these dishes, I just enjoy watching them being prepared 😏

They translated “octopus eggs” in Japanese into “eggs of foreigners”. That took me by surprise ngl
  • @wuji7210
This looks amazing I want to try it.
  • Yo ngl, I could watch those cook ALL DAY. THe way they slowly balloon up and get weird. I love it
  • @gballs007
Haha ..I love how the chef kept one piece of the fried batch ...Definitely a snack for himself!
