A sidenote, but I love how cozy their room is, and how they fall asleep with the screenglow on. It makes this entire series feel like they're spending a sleepover together or are in some kind of rec room. It's very endearing.

I like how manon wanted to start with homestuck, but after episode one, completely forgot, and Cybermare is trying her hardest not to remind him.

Manon's Rule 3 about piracy is basically the rule I've always carried in my heart. We need to make that an actual rule because I'm not spending $80 on a PS1 game.

I’m half convinced this episode was made just to get the internet to make porn of these characters because the producer was getting impatient

I would've expected something like this to be made about like 3-6 years ago. But no, this was made VERY recently by the time I'm writing this. Glad to see internet etiquette still being held up to this day! (For better or worse...)

I find it interesting how many of these rules changed meaning when applied to modern day

There is a little confusion in the Pool’s closed meme. 4chan didn’t start raiding habbo because it was racist, they started raiding the game because getting banned with the black Afro avatar could be an excuse to calling Habbo racist. By the sources it just seems like b doing random provocations for the sake of random provocations. According to “teh meme wiki” after the afros B would also raid spamming skinheads, gingers, and communists (avatars with white beards and red shirts). The Stingrays meme variation came after Steve Irwin (aka ‘the crocodile hunter’) died from a stingray sting, and the irl block cosplay with the swastika came after Habbo executives were accused of pedophilia. I don’t know how many of the raiders were really nazis, I don’t know how many of them were ironically provoking by forming swastikas while wearing suits and Afro wigs. Either way, personally I’m kinda glad trolling is less popular irl at time of writing and that society in general is less patient with swastikas

i heard that the 34th rule of the internet is something you should look at in school

This made me feel turbo old. My bones CRANCHED from how dated this was. The fact that I'm a 90's kid will slowly haunt me until I die

I know loveweb hasn't been getting a terrible amount of views but keep making it, it's such a good nostalgic dive into old internet culture and has that perfect aesthetic and great animation. All those little nods and Easter eggs for people who were "there" are amazing. Keep it up
