I'm stoked that Jay actually did a build in a case he is reviewing. Whenever he get's a cool new case I always want to see what the complete build would look like. We want more videos like this Jay!!
  • @abxc
One thing to note: Jay is mounting the CPU radiator as intake, but Lian Li's page suggests mounting it as exhaust, drawing in fresh air from the rear opening of the case. This setup should prevent the potential hot air exhaust-intake loop on the side.

Yes, different style case demo with actual build and smoke test! Keep this process as default for all cases you've taking a look

I cannot believe I just reflexively did the head thing after you said "Sup." I am so mad at myself
  • @Ironclad17
I'm really happy to see case manufacturers playing around with layouts so much this year.
  • @nichetcher1
I think you said the same thing when they first released the O11! “I’m just glad to see Lian-Li do something new”
  • @hiimmeez
Thermals on this case did way better than I expected them too. Thanks Jay! That was a neat showcase.

I’m not 100 percent sure, cause the Lian-Li website is currently down, but I believe the case is intended to be used with both the side fans and aio radiator set as exhaust. That’s why there’s no filter on that side of the case. Then your intake air comes from the fan that can be mounted on the back. I would love to see some temperature testing with the case in that configuration.

The GN shoutout at 18:30 just cracked me up 😂 And Phil dying in the background... just priceless

I think I've seen this done before but maybe Im wrong. Nothing better than seeing companies do something different. Sometimes they don't work and sometimes they do. Looks like this one is going to be a winner.

PC Case Modders: "it works fine just the way it is, no need to re-invent the wheel!!" Lian Li: "yeah, nah..."
  • @pyroslev
I need Steve to throw this through the test suit they do to see if it lives up to the hype. I like it.
  • @peterlennon1139
Best video you've done in ages. Comprehensive and well worth doing, was screaming for the smoke test which proved spectacularly how well the build works. Many thanks ❤❤
  • @toddbrewer683
I believe that I have finally found the case I was looking for. Thanks guys!

I have a 011 mini. I'm glad to see they have stepped away from the norm. I like them because it is not just a PC case, they put some thought into each one of their cases. Stepping away from the norm, and making it work.

Lian Li is probably my favorite case manufacturer right now. They look amazing, are always a joy to build in, and they have amazing build quality
  • It's cool, but how well does the gpu fan really " intake " compared to dedicated intake fans/ radiator?
  • @Kifey8183
Love that the ports are on bottom close to the user.
  • @fighterguard
I've been using a Silverstone SUGO 15 for almost 3 years, which also uses the GPU fans as the main intake. And it has the added factor of being a mini-ITX case, which makes it even more impressive. I have an RTX 3070 and a Ryzen 7 5800X3D in there. the CPU is cooled with a 240mm AIO. It's a difficult build, but it's awesome. Very powerful in a tiny volume, and it has never thermal throttled on me. I don't see this case as anything extraordinary. Someone else did the same before, and did it better.
  • Thank you for doing a full build in this one. The FLIR and smoke test were super helpful in highlighting the case cooling. I also got a nice laugh out of the Duralast battery on the bench and the Snoop Dogg joke!
