can you do a similar videos for food at hawker centers? How healthy is the mixed vege rice or minced meat noodle?

I most prefer the wholemeal bread. It fills me up longer, it makes me less hungry & tastes better too.
  • I was looking at the labels yesterday when I went to the store.....some of the white bread had 150 calories per slice....I finally choose and multi-grain German style bread that has 90 calories per slice.....it seems hearty and tastes good.....
  • Make your own sourdough bread at home. Easy, healthy & only 3 ingredients needed.

I think towards the second half of the video the whole point of this video deviated. If you say we are looking at healthier options, we should look at the mass manufactured processed bread and into details why they are not healthy. White flour alone does not justify that. The reporter should go to the bread factories like Gardenia or Sunshine and interview the people there to hear what they say about their bread. Emulsifiers, gluten, preservatives - how safe are they?

I love the white bread for I consume it rare. Just as snack and not a staple. Those flufy, yeasty smell and wonderful texture, still my favourite. If you want real deal with health, it is better to change the menu and not change the food.
  • The kind of sugar used determines the color of bread. Brown sugar yeilds brown bread, white refined sugar makes light colored bread.
  • Whole meal high fiber bread and ingredients nutrition contain vitamin & soft to consume . good for digestion..
  • I bake my own bread. Any bread that have longer shelf life than 3 days without refridgerating definely have additives.

While whole meal bread and multigrain bread might have more nutrients, and might have lower glycemic index, do they have the same amount of total carbohydrates? At the end of it, whether white, or brown, or whole meal, or multigrain, do these all have similar carbohydrate contents?

I don't mind paying slightly more for assurance that i would have a lower chance of getting illness relating to the stuff i eat in the long run
  • The bakery rule is you can add 20% non supportive material say oatmeal and you will not affect the volume. “Whole grain bread “ should not cost more.
