Please keep reading us stories, papa Alt Shift.

Nice read. I was expecting some bigger twist at the end due to that "now what will you give me for my reward?" text on the illustration. That fox sure deserves it for putting up with this guy for so long.

I bow before you my good sir - That is a genius channel! I remember this tale, and as I was hearing you read it, I found myself thinking "That is such a bad story!". There are many similar tales to this one with the formula of 3 brothers, where the youngest is the good/smart/brave one, and usually there's also some good council he must adhere in order to succeed, but think about it for a moment - tales usually have some kind of a lesson behind them (especially old ones) - be kind, be smart, be brave or even religious. This one teaches you to question your good sense and take some arbitrary advice from a strange unknown creature in the hopes that you'll get what you seek. What is the moral of all of this? Steal whatever you want? Break your promises"? The "hero" of this story doesn't even seem to have good traits or sense about him; He is fairly dense, and besides sparing his brothers (which is the only sensible thing he did, even if that was actually a bad thing for him to do) he shows no wits, good nature or anything. While some acts can be justified, others (even by standards of an old world) are just wrong and bad. I find it strange and fascinating. Keep them coming!

This is a very weird story... But I love your voice and I already listen to your game of thrones video you do to fall asleep so this is something nice to add to my playlist. Much obliged.

I truly implore you; read more yet more, for my council is as wise as the Thimbler, himself so great and aged. If you follow my advice and read tales, (taking such fantastical shapes of straw hats and golden birds) then this channel shall in time grow, to be as great as the mountain is easy enough for one bestowed with so silken a voice, and even the world might not take that mountain away! It will send me daintily unto sleep as well, to dream of foxes wearing straw hats. ^_^ Perhaps some Norse mythos you might care to peruse, our ears would thank you with their deep and loving contentment, forevermore in the lofty reaches of Yggdrasil.

Damn, this was great! How about reading the "Tale of the Three Brothers" from the Harry Potter series?
  • @oberstul1941
Awesome reading, mate. But the story drove me crazy, the guy kept failing until his way to the top. I just can't wrap my head around it any other way. Maybe the fox was deliberately setting him up to fail hoping he'll eventually regain his mortality and human form? Don't know.

can someone explain to me the point of this tale
