Mexico City's Historic Centro (Zocalo) Christmas Lighting Ceremony | Mexico

Published 2021-12-19
Mexico City sponsors a Christmas season display in the city's main square (or Zocalo), complete with three Christmas trees, Farris wheel, Merry-go- round and other rides for kids. During Christmas, it is common to hear both traditional and contemporary Christmas music. This video is about the lighting ceremony which was supposed to start at 7:30 but was delayed to 8:30 pm.

This is part of my journey to travel to Mexico and South American. I hope that you will join and follow me while I explore different areas.

One of the best New Year's Eves I ever experienced was in the Zocalo. No Ferris Wheel or Merry Go Round but lots of activities, music, lights, fun....it was truly magical. Loved to see your video. I have a video on my channel that captures some of it "Christmas in the Zocalo". Thanks for posting this. Can't wait to visit CDMX again.

Good Job Jayye: I'm also in Mexico City at the moment and I had some questions I wanted to ask about posting my content from a youtuber that has done this for awhile is there a way I can contact you or you get ahold of me???
  • Holy cow! You are back from Colombia. I thought that you love it there. To be honest I lost track of you since I'm not into Colombia since we have in Mexico thousands Colombian citizens living in Mexico, In the last 10 years that population has grown a lot. We don't know why. Mexico signed a trade agreement with them where Mexico put Colombia into a visa waiver program in 2011 and now we have thousands of Colombians in Mexico. Many Mexicans are not happy! Great that you are back.
