The fact that the sound of our own breath makes us feel calm is a gift from nature.
  • "Meditation is very simple. It's just the act of making it into a daily habit that is hard." That makes so much sense to me.
  • I'm a student who became so lazy due to 2020 and wasn't able to get back on studies!! So lazy to open any book, sleeps late at 2:00am but wakes up at 8:00am due to online classes due to which i cannot get enough sleep!! So i have decided to bring everything back together!!Cuz I'll soon be reaching 12th and it wont be easy with this attitude!! I know that i wouldn't be able to wake up so early suddenly!! It will take maybe 4 days for everything to completely get in place!!!Have watched some YouTube videos about meditation, excersice and morning routine videos, because everything starts with a positive mind, so changing this old late routine comes without doubt!! Time to get everything back together!! ❤️ To the person reading this, thanks for hearing me out🍁
  • Who's here because they're depressed and trying to focus on being positive?

Me: Wants to learn to meditate to help focus and sleep. Also me: 20 seconds into the video and already distracted by comments.
  • As someone whos meditated for a long time, I find it more optimal to meditate without an alarm. When your alarm rings you can subconsciously associate that ringing to mean you are permanently done meditating, which can result in you compartmentalizing meditation only to the instant when you practice. You are also shocked out of the session. Meditation should be something that you try and do all the time. I think it would be better to simply have a clock in front of you without the alarm. This way you are not shocked out of meditation, you peacefully transition out of it and you realize that you can meditate whenever you want without having to rely on an alarm.

Decided to try meditation after years of believing it was a bunch of bs. Recently got dumped by a girl I love, and it's been eating away at me. The first session was alarmingly nice - it felt so wonderful to be at peace for just a couple minutes. Not worrying, or stressing, or feeling alone/empty inside. Just thinking about my breathing and being alone with myself. I'm hoping this will be the first thing I can commit myself to do daily because I want to hold onto that feeling. I strongly recommend it for anyone going through a rough patch in life with no idea what direction to go in.
