There’s been a surge in the number of asylum seekers from Bangladesh to Quebec in recent months.

If the current rate continues, the province is due to receive more than four times the number of people seeking refuge from that country compared to last year.

Global's Phil Carpenter spoke to Bangladeshi Montrealer’s to find out why this is happening and what their concerns are for the future of their home country.

Trudeau's Canada ! 😡 Take care of Canadians first! 😢
  • Meanwhile other countries are being warned that Montreal is in a pandemic of crime. Canada is basically East India now. Remember when teenagers worked at McDonald's and grocery stores?

We have riots in Montreal, maybe we should seek asylum somewhere too, preferably where’s there’s nice warm weather.

We have a few on our block that haven't worked a day yet for years now. They come for the taxpayer handouts which need to be put to an end.

why is it always people with low skill from backward, corrupt places with nothing to offer the country? you cant save all the problems of the world by moving them here and live off our tax dollars. I do wish Bangaladesh to be stable and safe for its citizens as they deserve to live in dignity and peace but Canada is for Canadians unless our citizenship has no meaning.
  • Canadians deserve a referendum on immigration and population growth. This is our home. Give us a meaningful say over who gets to live in our home.
