Custom Wheel Alignment Turn Plate Ramps

Have you ever driven up on a ramp only to overshoot it and drive too far? This usually happens when you need to apply too much gas pedal to overcome the height of the ramps. Wheel alignments require getting the vehicle on top of turn plates. This video shows a design for ramps that cause the vehicle to drive up in a staggered approach so only 1 wheel at a time is rising. Most vehicles have enough forward power at idle to overcome a gradual height increase as shown above. The same principle can be used with ramps that are several inches thick.

    I have the same turn plates. Have a similar system but will modify like yours for the use and storage bundling! Nice job! Question…what are the black handle looking sticks on the backside of the turn plates used for?
