I do agree that it's easy to get to GM if you have the time. The reason that the majority of people are in (or around) gold is because they have jobs and other things they need/want to do besides grind one game. I mean, the fact that I went from an average silver to mid-plat since the game launched as a completely casual player proves that you can absolutely climb if you have enough time. Copium is legitimately why a lot of people stay down low. Because they give up on trying hard to get high when they don't get it fast.

saying "its not hard to get (insert whatever the highest rank in x game is)" is just so ignorant, it fundamentally misunderstands how the ranking systems in these games work.

I like when good gamers say its easy to get GM. That's like saying its easy to pick up chicks, when you look like a model. There's a reason a lot of people are hard stuck, even though they vod review and get coaching. You are capable to reach it or you dont. But dont say its easy, when i requires a lot of work for most people
