Hello and welcome back to Train Simulator Classic!

Tonight we're going to be taking a drive of the brand new Class 745 "FLIRT", one of the new Stadler sets currently in operation with Greater Anglia. These sets were introduced in 2019 onwards, and saw the demise of the Class 90 and MK3 sets which operated up and down the line for many years. Now thanks to good people at Alan Thomson Sim, we have this unit available for modern day operations on this line!

We're going to be driving the two scenarios which come included. Starting in Ipswich, we're operating an express service down towards London Liverpool Street, then the return leg of the route late at night. We'll be taking a look at this units many features, and whether it is worth that premium price tag of £37.99 (or £29.99 for subscribed members to Alan Thomson Sim).

    Hi Joe, I know you're not much of an announcement fan, but on the Flirt you have to run with the ATS FLIRT plugin (not ATS plugin) to get announcements and ASDO

    I use these trains almost daily the sounds are spot on and the route looks brilliant they are such a comfortable train too and yes there is the /0 and /1 which as you said determine if they have first class, the first class ones mainly do the intercity route the other does the airport service

    Are these new train just electric or are they diesel as well because i saw a class 745 at Great yarmouth station when i went there in April this year

    £37.99 !!!!! I'm sorry but that's an insane price. Considering Alan's an all out workers/left wing guy, he's pricing everyone other than the affluent out of the hobby with this one. That is just too much cash and as good as the train is, it doesn't offer anythign staggeringly new or out of the box, for that price.

    I do like them, but If the 745s had the 2 bogie per carriage arrangement theyd be perfect. Also if the front ends were more flat id like them a little more

    Price might have been better if it included the diesel 755 version as well.. its alot of money for a train that may or may not appear in your game. Have found that ATS stuff is very hit and miss weather it works or not. Download the new anglia route the installer say its installed but not in the game ( yes I have the required stuff) found this with alot of his stuff. . The less said about the crap class 91 pack that just crashes the game. .
