Serperior is the only grass type starter Pokemon that can beat a whole game by itself. I will have to fight Ghetsis, N, Reshiram, the Elite Four, and all of the Gym Leaders with only a single Serperior.

Finally someone else who’s favorite Pokémon is also Serperior
  • There should be an exception to the no additional mons rule. I mean you still can't use them but this is my emotional support lilipup she's a very important part of the run

13:20 Yeeeees, a Mah-Dry-Bread reference!! A person of culture you truly are, friend. This was a most-interesting run indeed! I love these one-mon challenges, albeit it truly is the first time I see someone not randomize their starter not catch a designated HM user... And now I want to replay Unova, thaaaanks :' ))
  • You could have also gotten the Return TM in Nimbasa, good bit stronger then Strength at max happiness and gives you more move flexibility. I actually did this myself a while back but I was less strict about it, letting myself use a Ducklet and the monkey for HMs just out of convenience, so I know you're pain with those last few fights. I ended up using a Coil/Rest strat for Ghetsis since the Cofagrigus is only really a threat with Toxic so you can eventually get up to +6 and body the rest of the team. Anyways good stuff and respect from another Serperior stan!

15:00 What in the hell is going on with Iris's sprite!? I don't know whether to laugh or be afraid.

Great taste serperior is my favorite Pokémon I remember practically doing this at age 4 except I used panpour for chili and darumaka for burgh’s whirlipede and used seismitoad, darmanitan, scarfty and gigalith along with serperior for the elite four I did get serperior to level 100 but the save sadly got deleted it was my brother and sister who deleted my save because they were jealous I had a overleveled serperior.

When you said attempt and mentioned getting lucky twice in a row on that ghetsis fight I have to assume that took you a lot more tries lmao edit: also it's crazy how much worse serp is in this game since in the sequel you can slap aqua tail and outrage on it (though i think outrage was post game)

Amazing run, it was so fun and interesting to watch 👏
  • @kaka8635
That’s how I played the game the first time I played it !

For as much as it’s annoying to have to deal with HM nonsense, at least strength is situationally useful like here, where it literally just serves as an upgrade to cut for both “decent” coverage and gives some niche map exploration buffs.
  • While Samurott is my favorite, Surperior is such a good Pokémon, I wish it had been the gen 6 grass started where it would’ve gotten a second type and beaten ahh
  • @blazie42069
Samurott only is super easy just be careful with the first and second gyms

I mean Serperior is one of the best Pokemon to use because of it's hidden ability and even without it's hidden ability it's one of if not the strongest grass type starter.
