I first saw the Dust Cyclone Separator Cart through YouTube and after years of clearing out clogged shop vacs every few days I was stunned! "Why haven't I added a dust separator before," I thought! I set out to build my own and here is my video showing you how I did it. I hope it helps you build yours. The Dust Separator Cart is very easy to build and the payoff is completely worth it!

When figuring out the size hole to cut for the bucket, put the bucket upside down and scribe the circumference. Then flip the bucket, center and scribe that circumference. The sweet spot is right in the middle of your two scribe lines.
  • this video has 127k views and 360 comments, yet youve still replied to every singular one of them even 8 months later, ive never once seen ANYONE do that and ive seen more youtube videos than id ever care to record. congrats on being extraordinary man, and enjoy my sub.

I've watched dozens of these cart and separator builds, this is the best one!! Awesome and very functional!!! Thank you!!!👍
  • @kerrygibbs8198
Great idea. I enjoyed your positive attitude during the video. I appreciate you showing minor mistakes and how you quickly corrected.
  • @traceparis2924
Andrew, Thank you for the great idea! I built this adaptor in just a couple of hours and I love it! It is an absolute game changer! Your design makes my dust collection system mobile and solves the problem of the homer bucket tipping over. Somehow you have made cleaning up fun...Well, at least not as much of a chore.

I just wanted to say that I've seen a whole bunch of dust devil stopping videos for workshops and this is definitely my favorite one, the best one in fact I'm going to make this thanks to you!
  • @timmax4817
I love how it holds the tools and rolls around on the vac, nice and portable GREAT
  • @HiTechDiver
Comprehensive video with excellent narration, but the best and most important part...your son is right there with you. Enjoy every minute of him; they grow up too fast.
  • @jim9637
I just completed mine exactly how you built yours. I love it! Sure gave me a lot more floor space as well as being so convenient. Thanks for this great video!
  • @MJCPeters
Yup! This is the one. I've watched dozens of these but this is the one I like best.
  • @The_Ol_Bizzaroo
I spent the day yesterday building one of these and found your video extremely helpful. Thanks!
  • @eddaeges9309
Very well done. This is the best project for a dust collector I've seen. Thank you.
  • What an awesome set up!! Perfect solution for dust collection for small spaces!! Keep up the great work 😊
  • @JesusUruchurtu1
Thanks to this video I made my own version. I used bigger bolts and countersunk them into the plywood, left the top square and attacked a shelf to it to tangle the cable and add a handle. Thanks for this man! it was very helpful!. Also, I didn't use PVC cement, mainly because I didn't have any handy, I used CA glue with activator and works just as well.
  • Thank you!! I just finished making my cart. It was so simple to make. I’ve been using a clumsy junk cart that I hated. This one works awesome!! Thanks again!
  • @kelisurfs247
I love your simple easy to do design! I've seen other designs that are way more complicated to make. Good job!
  • What a great addition - I'm surprised someone (like you) doesn't make a kit out of this and sell it - well done!!!
  • @peterlandry1101
I love these cart ideas! Thanks for all your tips and suggestions. If you ever have any tipping over issues, just put an old barbell weight in the bottom of the shopvac. Since it doesn't need to be emptied very often, the cart will be more stable without losing dust collection space.
  • @andygreen909
This is mega! Great build. Really well explained and put together with humour and clear instruction. Thanks!
  • @lifesastage215
Great idea. Love the concept. Love the energy. Looks like I’ll be adding this to the shop this weekend. Thanks
